I watched Coach Rhule's post-scrimmage press conference again tonight (9/16/2025) because I found the first time around so entertaining.

Watching it again, it was clear that Rhule was in a really good mood. (Given that this was the end of Fall Camp, that's VERY encouraging.) His enthusiasm for his program came bubbling through with every question he answered.

It got me thinking. Obviously, he's a very skilled public speaker, but IMO, what makes his speechs, press conferences, interviews, and "walk around" videos so effective is the energy behind the delivery--he's got a "12-year old boy-like" exuberance that not only feels genuine, it's highly contagious. You understand why his players would run through walls for our "If we DIE, we DIE!" Coach.

Matt still has a lot of work to do on his Husker win/loss column side of things but as Husker fans, we couldn't ask for a better spokesperson for Nebraska football, the University and the State. If this year's team 'puts it together' this fall, this proud football program is poised to take off once again. GO BIG RED!

You are right, Rhule is a great communicator. We know he is good with the media and the fans, and you can bet he is with the team, coaches and induvial players as well. This year we will all be on the same page. All the more reason for optimism.

I agree with all five reasons, but I think the one most people overlook is "prioritizing defense". Yes, we lost some 'dogs' and some fine coaches too. But the one thing that Matt has always had (even in the pros) is a good, usually really good, defense. Sometimes not immediately, but certainly eventually, is a good defense. How much was Matt, and how much was Snow, I'm not sure, but it doesn't matter now because we have both.

Everyone is talking Dylan and Holgo, and rightfully so, but I think the defense just might be the biggest surprise.

That article was confusing. He started with zero Kool aid then drank the Kool aid then spilled it. I especially cringed when he said our back defenders are not special (or however he worded it). That's the strongest part of the defense this year. Lol

I really don't care what the pundits say. They are mostly idiots anyway, IMO. I don't think we'll play in the B1G championship but we will have a solid season this year, play in a bowl and will win said bowl.

Oops, let’s go with 8/16/2025. I watched the presser when it streamed live late Saturday afternoon after practice and then again Saturday night.

As we get closer and closer to the start of the season, I’ve become a totally obsessed Husker fanboy basket case. Pity poor Mrs Fumble.
