[/QUOTE]Well sounds like Texas A&M is back in the ER sweepstakes. We aren't out but I'm not feeling good about this now.
Fingers crossed that he chooses Nebraska. We really need him here.
That could be. We were/are set to offer him $1.2 or 1.3 mill to be DL coach and assistant HC. So if aTm is looking to make him DC, yeah we aren't winning that. Dang it.I'd suspect they're (aTm) negotiating him to take on the DC job outright.
Agreed. There is talk if ER doesn't sign with Nebraska we will go after Michigan's DL coach since I'm sure they will purge the entire staff.Meant to be.. If it doesn't happen there will be someone just as qualified come along.

Most likely. Hopefully we land him but at this point it doesn't look great.Guessing that it's all aligning with their coach(es) departing to K-State. ER clearly wants to climb the ladder.

These titles are comical. So the DL coach is lesser than the DC right? Is the Assistant HC position greater than the DC? How can you be lesser on one level but greater on another at the same time?
AgreedStill say ER is a great coach when he has 18-20 stars across the defensive front, as he had most years at Texas A&M. At Syracuse last year he had Nebraska level talent across the board, and one could argue Syracuse was worse than Nebraska stopping the run and rushing the passer.
Rhule can find another suitable Dline coach, but what he really needs to do is find more talent in the portal.
