D Line Coach Watch

[QUOTE="DrFumble, post: 338222,

BTW, welcome to the board! :thumbsup:[/QUOTE]

Thanks. I've been a lurker but non-commentor for years. Thought it was time to take the plunge. I know that it has only been 8 days, but this is the good momentum that I feel like we really need to take advantage of especially when Rhule is trying to now show that he has the big Gucci bag filled with dollar bills that he is willing to spend

aTm has some deep friggin' pockets.....it's why Alberts went there in the first place. He didn't like how the money works in Lincoln. He wants to do whatever the hell he wants with minimal constraints and that is much more the model aTm operates under. They blow a lot of $$$ for no reason - but it doesn't seem to slow down the donation. See Jimbo Fischer.

That could be. We were/are set to offer him $1.2 or 1.3 mill to be DL coach and assistant HC. So if aTm is looking to make him DC, yeah we aren't winning that. Dang it.

Guessing that it's all aligning with their coach(es) departing to K-State. ER clearly wants to climb the ladder.

These titles are comical. So the DL coach is lesser than the DC right? Is the Assistant HC position greater than the DC? How can you be lesser on one level but greater on another at the same time?

I have the answer.

There's those thinking, more or less, less is more
But if less is more, how you keeping score?
Means for every point you make, your level drops
Kinda like you're starting from the top
You can't do that

Still say ER is a great coach when he has 18-20 stars across the defensive front, as he had most years at Texas A&M. At Syracuse last year he had Nebraska level talent across the board, and one could argue Syracuse was worse than Nebraska stopping the run and rushing the passer.

Rhule can find another suitable Dline coach, but what he really needs to do is find more talent in the portal.
