Not positive but his reputation indicates he doesn’t enjoy the recruiting game. But luckily there is a whole department for that here

This only works if the HC is hired first. If the AD is announced a month before the HC it gives the impression the AD made the choice. Hard to imagine a scenario in which the AD says “Scott is our guy. President Bounds and Chancellor Greene began the process back in October prior to my arrival...

Has Nebraska ever been a top shelf job? it wasn’t 24 months removed from playing for its 5th national championship in 8 seasons, so when will it ever be? As for the guy above that said IF the name I heard (hopefully falsely) is hired I do not think anybody will believe he was the first...

I was the one who said it sounded like a hire had been made last week. His verbiage was such that it was not a stretch. He specified said the had had input in the search and would only be here 30 days (not 60)

IF the job comes open and Frost does in fact turn down the opportunity to interview it will likely be crushing to the fanbase

Two fold haha 1). If the AD spot has been declined 2-3 times than to me that is flailing 2). If the name I heard most recently comes to fruition than it would indicate they did flail and landed with this guy. Hopefully all rumors are false, kinda like when there was a coaching search and...

At this point the only hope I have is they strike out repeatedly in the AD search and the timeline prevents Riley from being fired. With the current flailing by the administration it seems less and less likely they pull in an AD that is qualified to make an accurate snap judgement on the program.

I was told last night Riley is gone, which makes me sad. Also, same source told me Frost already made it clear he will not entertain the opening. No reason given, just that he already said no thanks.

OLine isn’t athletic enough and can’t get the timing down

that is what agents are paid to do, get raises and maintain relevance. He was never one of the four finalists

I do think he would be a better tackler personally. Him out on an island causes hesitation and uncertainty. If there were a safety, LB and sideline nearby he may way be a more confident and aggressive tackler. He also may not be but it would be a situation that gives him a better chance to...

Good stats there. Indirectly it is encouraging to see because it means the OL is improving from early in the season. Ozigbo was significantly better against ILL than Rutgers and really ensured the 4th quarter was boring, as we all prefer.

Yesterday there were some comments by ADDR indicating the hire has already been made. Or atleast that is how myself and a couple others interpreted his time on the Carriker Chronicles (combined with Alberts’s convenient timing to withdrawal).

Got out in 2007

Associate AD at Mizzu in mid 2000’s when they were on the rise. Went to the B12 office and is now senior associate commissioner of football, only reports to Bowlsby.

Agreed. Rumor is that his former teammate got the job, we will see.

I would move Lamar back to his actual position, which is boundary CB. He has been playing field CB and that isn’t a good fit for him. As for Lindsey I’m not sure I’m ready to sell that stock just yet for 2017...

In an interview posted today he said “I’ll be back home for the Wisconsin game”. Also said he talks to the staff every day and is very active in recruiting guys. Even knew who Tutt spent his time with in the visit

No question he did significantly better this week when I went back and reviewed the game. I wasn’t able to capture those screen shots of poor vision or understanding of the play’s timing. He made a big time block on a blitzed that allowed Lee to have all day in the pocket. Now we will I’ll...

Frost is doing what he WANTS to be doing. He wants a spread running attack as his identity. His QBs run the ball a decent amount, so he wouldn’t have a guy to run his offense when he got to Lincoln. Plus he would go under .500 with the schedule and lack of a QB. Fans would cannibalizes him...
