This needs to be explained. Everyone knows our oline was the weakest its been since the late 60s, yet the coach of that is kept? If Rhule doesn’t explain this, my confidence in him drops.
I would love an explanation. Why this retention was made would make for an interesting discussion. Not saying it was a poor choice, I’d just be interested in why it was made. This needs to be explained. gotta admit this surprised me, but if I am being fare 1 season without having any say about the roster is pretty harsh to judge a coach by

Talk like that gets my hopes up…I don’t want to be disappointed when it doesn’t happen.
My advice is for everybody to calm down. This needs to be explained. Everyone knows our oline was the weakest its been since the late 60s, yet the coach of that is kept? If Rhule doesn’t explain this, my confidence in him drops.
THIS! ^^^^^Perhaps he's better suited for the scheme that Rhule is planning on running at NU. If that's the case then this actually might be a great move by Rhule.

My confidence has been shaken to its very core. O-line was clearly the weakest position group on the team. I figured Raiola would be the first to be shown the door. I am perplexed, check that, I am flummoxed by this decision...unless there are plans for Dylan to join Tio Donovan in Lincoln.
Tom Osborne said in most cases it takes 3 years to develop an O-lineman. None of these players were recruited by Raiola and he has only had a year to get to know, develop and teach technique to them. The large number of key injuries played into this as well. I think the people monitoring this every day were liking what they saw and are probably better suited to make the call than the armchair QBs. I say wait and see.My advice is for everybody to calm down.I
If this Twitter rumor is true, it says a lot about Donovan Raiola in my book because Rhule understands how critical our OL development needs to be.
Second, one season tells me squat about how good a coach is -- particularly when his unit experienced some really tough injuries. How can you blame a first-season OL coach who inherited THIS season's OL -- tough season-ending injuries and all -- and who had Whipple as his OC?
CFB is full of one season wonders -- I thought we'd all realized future success is about scheme and development.

I'm at a wait and see on this one. I'm not sure what this OL is actually good at.Tom Osborne said in most cases it takes 3 years to develop an O-lineman.
