Do you have any names that could be on the new staff?

Mike Siravo

Robert Kugler
Jeff Nixon

I like this quote I just read...

How does Rhule do it?

“No. 1 is to find the right people,” he said in 2017 during Big 12 Media Days. “The right coaches, then go recruit the right people on your team. It’s not always about talent. To me, it’s about toughness. If you want to have a tough team, you need tough coaches.

I'm afraid all of ours have died or retired though. :-)

I would really like any of our Rhule naysayers to explain to me how this attitude is not the very epitome of what made Nebraska football what it once was.

It's not going to happen overnight, but when my new head coach approaches his program with this mindset, I'm one happy camper.

Interesting thread and I'll be on pins and needles as Matt fills' it out. I've already gone on board with my like for Snow. I would have said Joe Brady until Matt fired him for not calling enough running plays.

Edit: I still hope Matt can find some roles for Mickey and Busch.

Rhule runs his offense around the talent on hand - he likes to run the ball but will do it out of spread if that fits his oline best.

He needs an elite DC - that is the key hire IMHO

If Frost had been fired in 2021 and Mickey given the reins, Nebraska beats Northwestern and Georgia Southern and is going bowling. Who knows? Maybe some of the other losses flip without wasting spring ball playing tickle fight in lieu of full-contact which it should have been.

This is Rhule's first year coaching in the age of NIL and the portal combined. I think he can match Bielema's progress roadmap at IL, just gotta put the nose to the grindstone or whatever cliché we prefer :naughty:

So in this scenario, TA would’ve fired SF last year, and then turned around and gave the job to an LSU position coach? I shudder to think of that happening.

Purely hypothetical. Any coach could have come in and likely won 6+ games, Mickey just happened to be the interim.
