Ready or not.... baggage and all.....

Oh we can but it'll take 4 or 5 years. We don't have that kind of time at this point.
We're in this pickle because the Powers-that-Be and some fans thought Frost's performance after 3 1/2 seasons was somehow worthy of another year.

As I recall, Frost was on a losing streak when the announcement was made that he would be returning for a fifth season. And guess what? He then proceeded to continue the losing streak after it was announced -- six games in all. When all was said and done, he finished the last nine Husker games he coached going 1-8. Let that sink it: One and Eight AT NEBRASKA! That's what's truly 'BULL' in my book.

Then dont whine when your Huskers lose

This is crazy. So now to be a true fan you have to value winning above all else...to the point you compromise your ethics and integrity to win?

I think we can hire a good coach who will build a solid culture and team we can be proud of. I reject the notion that winning and doing things the right way are mutually exclusive.

If people like Urban are going to be there, I don't have any interest in being in your foxhole.

You’ve never been in a Foxhole…Be honest. No, you don’t want to be there. That’s the problem with this program and team…Most hard nosed real Men can see it. Bunch of "Super Fine Gentlemen".

I think that's crazy Suh. We have a bad team. This is one of the worst teams in college football right now.

Neither Knute Rockne nor Bear Bryant nor anyone on your list could have us winning conference and national titles in a year or two. Even with the transfer portal, this is a multi year rebuild.

People who get desperate do all kinds of stupid things they would never do otherwise. Hiring Urban Meyer probably qualifies.
We'll have to agree to disagree then cause they can all win here within 2 years and have us in a conference title games in 3 years.

Again how many times are we going to continue down this road of failure? This program can no longer go that route. People will stop going to games and donating money.

It's currently all about wins and losses. That's it. The losing has to stop or people will stop caring.

NO! Stop it. This isn’t a Church.

Men are forged in fire…We aren’t perfect. Just teach accountability. Let the players make the choices. Coaches aren’t Dads. THATS the problem…Maybe we have a lack of Dads?

I think the decision was made after the Ohio State game last year. Might have been the game before. Regardless he coached the rest of the year because the defense saved us in every game. Kept us from getting boat raced. Had they just lost big in all those games Frost would've been gone.

I am trying to wrap my head around the notion that Trev should reject Urban Meyer out-of-hand as a candidate because he "compromises our ethics and integrity" to win?
Do fans really not know about all the crap from the Bo Pelini era? Apparently if those things are never reported, we automatically retain our virtue. After all, Tom Osborne was AD and hired Bo, right? So it all must have been squeaky clean, right? Is that how it works?

And what about Frost? I guess since he led a saintly life off the field, we can forgive him for all those losses he had.

Listen, I just want Trev to consider all options and make the best choice. But this business of automatically crossing a surefire CFB HOF coach off the list because of his 'ethics' tells me some Husker fans have an image of Husker football that's somewhere off in fairy tale land.

Nicely summed up.

I think we have allowed WEAK MEN to lead the situation…Now, here we are. Anyone that wants to debate me…Please feel free…I welcome it.

I pulled my kid out of that school because it’s so “woke” it’s insane. Trev has a really big Baby Poop storm on his hands if he thinks he’s going to change the “"Hipsters With Attitude"”.

I'm not saying absolutely no to Urban. But it's going to be hard to sell me that he's the right guy for rebuilding the program.

I think we can find someone younger, who is a better human being, who will build a winning culture we can be proud of, and will stay here for more than a couple of years.

Internet tough guys are hilarious.

I actually agree with you that the woke stuff at the university is absurd. But the proper response isn't to throw out all the standards. It's to return to them.

I’m not trying to be tough…Just honest.

some real honesty is what is lacking. I have no beef with you. You asked me a question and I answered it.

I’m definitely not an internet tough guy…I think most people on here will attest to that…Blowhard yes, but honest too.

You strike me as a good guy. I'd just avoid calling those who disagree with you "Super Fine Gentlemen".

When I think about who I would want with me in a foxhole, my first consideration is someone I can trust. I simply don't trust Urban Meyer. Given his history, I'm not sure how anyone could.

When I think about the type of football program I want to have and that I would be proud of, winning is obviously important. I get it...winning is fun. The last 20 years of losing have been horrible.

But if we sacrifice everything else to win, what are those victories worth? If we bend the rules or even cheat to win, can we still be proud of winning? We used to make fun or Miami and the SEC for abandoning any semblance of principles to chase titles. Do we want to be like them? Or should we try to be something better?

No worries everyone it’s a done deal … the devil showed up at midnight.

Urban Meyer will be the next coach … and I got him to sweeten the pot with at least one championship before any scandal

I was pleasantly surprised tho no blood is involved now …we did the whole soul selling on an IPad

We are actually on the same page…We are doing it with Academia right now…What’s The soul purpose of the school? I really have no affiliation with the School except a partial scholarship offer for academics. Sent my kid up there for a bit. I was all in on UNO. My brother and I worked at Bakers on 72nd and Blondo in Omaha. I worked at Louis in Benson Before that.

I just walked away, one day and trusted Uncle Sam…stayed longer than I should have…But met my wife, had kids, and followed the Huskers throughout. We are doing it right now…So the Football team is off limits? I told you, I pulled my kid out of there…Why? Because it’s a ******, “woke” school…The Leadership is trash!!!!

Now look at the Football team. You have a bunch of "Super Fine Gentlemen" in Charge. I can see it from a mile away! I really have no affiliation with school except I’m from there and I Love Nebraskans.
