Manning will need some serious breakout games just to equal the number of yards his combined press clippings have generated in Huskerland over the past year and a half.
That is half the equation, remember we need a line to protect AM2 who will toss the rock to Omar if he is getting the time and a center of course that can hike the ball 3 yards to Am2 accurately (dang I hate auto correct)

And, we need the pass to be accurate, something that has been elusive lately unless it's a sideline, horizontal pass....
Thought I would tell you what I have found out.
The Staff has worked very hard with Omar in all the areas he was having issues in. I'm not at liberty to divulge that personal Info and will stick purely to the Football aspect.
It's no secret that Omar has NFL caliber skills, his style resembling that of Jerry Rice and Terell Owens....I know that's an odd couple comparison but that's what I see. Leave out all the bigger than life Owen's personal crap and look only at his skill and body type with the ball skills and hands and nose for the ball of a Jerry Rice and that's Perdy dang close to what we have on our hands. If the stars line up and the lights come on for this kid.....no fooling he can be so very special it will shock most of you and I am understating his ceiling here....he has LEGITIMATE GAME CHANGING SKILLS THAT COULD WIN HIM MANY POST SEASON AWARDS provided he keeps on track. My opinion is he is all serious about making some noise and bursting onto the scene like maybe in the game at Norman....???? Keep your eyes open cause I have more than a hunch this will be the case.

There are rumors that Omar is having "issues" again. Hope he can fight through, from all of his appearances in highlights he seems to have had a good spring and fall camp. This was supposedly taken from one of the subscription chats:
At this point I am convinced Omar Manning is Bigfoot. People talk about how great he is, or will be, but we're (as fans) probably never going to see it.
This is why I asked Doc Holliday earlier to see what he knew about Manning and if he was going to play. Hopefully the recent "news" is just hearsay.

I believe on YouTube there is some grainy footage of him walking through a small clearing in a forest somewhere in the Pacific Northwest.
FWIW on another board someone said Omar traveled with the team, surely they wouldn't bring him if they didn't think he was going to see the field.
