Next man up...new A.D. thread

To be honest Im still stunned at this and nothing Alberts says means much to me. I m not prevy on why or what caused this but I do know Alberts was unhappy about not having his boss replaced. But this? Very hard to digest, we must be cursed!!!!
He statement talked about university leadership and vision, about a&m , but you know that was a slap about where he was leaving

If he left solely because we were lacking a president for like 6 months, then I don't think we should place this on the U. And vision is going to be lacking without that president.

Now if could be he is not happy with the top choice for president. And since we don't know who that is right now it is hard to judge either way.

I honestly believe there is more than a lack of leadership as to why Trev left. Has to be. You don't leave the place you call you dream job just because there is an interim President or a possible President you don't like. Cause if it was me and they hired someone I don't like I'll figure out how to work with my new boss and give it a year because this is my Alma mater and I want to see them succeed. If after that year we are butting heads then I may consider leaving.

I agree. I'm sure it has some bearing on the situation but I suspect more is going on behind the scenes than we are aware of.

I think (my guess) is it is not just the open positions, but the future. The renovations. The eyes on what is happening in football (super conferences) a structured pathway to become successful again.
As opposed to were comfortable so chill out and relax everything is great , we got money

Do we know what the new price for adequate AD is?
It's like to be in the range of $1.5-$2M /year on a 5-8 year contract plus some incentive and retention bonuses based on what I saw yesterday. I'm not sure any AD is currently breaking the $3M/year mark on base salary.

It took longer to find and hire Carter than the current situation - but I suspect they are nowhere near a hire.
