Louisiana is a crap-hole. While it doesn't get cold, it also never gets clean. And the combination of street violence and rampant homeless drug abusers kind of ruin all the nice places there these days. Nebraska has some minor patches of that blight, but the state of Louisiana never seems to deal with either.

Sell Nebraska for what it is. Paradise with a few months of cold.
I went to Nawlins a few years ago for a reunion of Navy guys from my ship and ya know, I thought it was a dirty lousy place and I can assure you I wont go back. Drunks walking around puking in the quarter don't appeal to me

You may have lived in both, but over the last two decafes it has deteriorated. I go to Louisiana regularly. It's a crap-hole. I live in Florida today and absolutely love Nebraska over both.

I am from Nebraska and spent a couple years in Louisiana at Ft. Polk now known (as far as I know) JRTC and like @ramelbm said, your generalizations don't match my experiences either.

Just come out and say what you really mean because the facade you're attrmpting to put up is really easy to see through.

I have really enjoyed my visits there, and plan on returning, but it's not a place I would want to live........ that's true of several places I've visited however. I guess it's true what they say......It's all about who you're with.....more than where you are.

In reality, this is a good year to make staff changes. With all the shakeups in major programs going on, there are a lot of good assistant coaches in limbo. It is much easier than trying to coax a coach away from a stable position.

If the rest of the hires are of the same quality as MJ, I will be very happy.

Can Graham Harrell coach up a QB to throw to his receivers? If I was forced to place a bet on who, that's who I believe is the choice for OC.

Whatever you are trying to say likely speaks volumes more about you than me. Nebraska is paradise. Florida is nice, but is no Nebraska. Louisiana is a crap-hole. There, no words minced. Capiche?

Program death there. Harrell got his coach fired. Air Raide hell I would rather have Mike Riley back than that dude.

Nebraska is NOT "paradise", not even close.

As for the rest, Hemingway would have admired your strong usage of subtext. From a writing and literary perspective, well done.

Perhaps to him it is. Nothing wrong with that.

I would take Nebraska over miami any day. just can't get the wife to agree. she loves this place and I ******* hate it

I can see the appeal of both places. Both places have their own unique qualities which appeal to different aesthetics. What I took issue with was Mad Rat's saying that the entire state of Louisiana is bad. No state in its entirety is bad.
