sorry, I didn’t get past the part where I got called out…
NEBRASKA HAD AN IDENTITY ONCE UPON A TIME....that represents the people of the state.
Coach Osborne worked so very hard to build and mold the team into that and just as a fan who understands this it's very upsetting to see yet another attempt to remake us into something we just plain are not and will never be.
Sure maybe for a season or 2 we might be successful, but there is no sustainable way to compete with all the other schools who run this same type offense year after year. There simply are not enough players that Excel in this offense to go around.
And your going to find it tough sledding to get enough every year to sustain this type of Offense.
I want Nebraska to win but to win in a way that fits who and where we are. Most of us who know you have to be a Run Based Ball Control Offense in the Big 10 to be a constant threat to win the Conference Championship. We see this and know that even if this Head Coach finds instant success this next season it will not last, simply because we can not compete with those schools in the middle of talent rich areas like the SEC schools and ACC schools. Then where are we ? Right back at the bottom.
Frost had the perfect opportunity to go hire a TOP NOTCH PROVEN OFFENSIVE LINE COACH....(because that's where our problems start and end).....but instead he goes the same route he went with his last Offensive Line Coach....hire a guy who played O line and is a ASSISTANT O line Coach with no experience at building a line period....no offense against Riola his older Brother Dom, and family are Friends of ours....but Lil D just has no experience and we need a guy who is proven bottom line.
I know I will catch crap for that but it's the truth.
My only motivation here is to see that Nebraska gets back to what we worked so freaking hard to build and can SUSTAIN that for years to come.
And if anyone doesn't like my posts at LEAST BE MAN ENOUGH TO TAKE ISSUE WITH IT AND SEND ME A MESSAGE....DONT THROW OUT SLY INNUENDO AND TRY TO MAKE YOURSELF LOOK SO EDUCATED AND SUPERIOR TO ANY OF US WHO DO VOICE OUR OPINION......IF YOU CANT DO THAT.....THEN DONT WASTE MY TIME....AND AS ALWAYS ....IM YOUR HUCKLEBERRY.....

BHF has some badass internet tough guys that I want no part of. And I'll say it right to their face.
Just a quick aside and then back to football. Finally made it to Tombstone this year to see where the OK gunfight took place, and where Morgan was ambushed and killed, and where Earl was ambushed and maimed, and boot hill where the "cowboys" are buried along with several other unlucky persons. Still haven't made it to Johnny Ringo's grave where he was shot in the head.....maybe by Doc, maybe by Wyatt (who took credit for it), or maybe by himself.
If you think NU fans are unlucky you might want to visit Tombstone's boot hill, where several were truly unlucky.....including the poor guy who was hanged for buying a stolen horse......only to find out by the mob afterwards that he wasn't the one who stole it.
