Jake Peetz?

If we don't have a strong QB next year we better have a strong run game. Receivers can only make a play if the ball gets to them. Who we get as an OC will tell a lot about the direction of the offense. We need help with the recruiting also, so there's that to consider. An OC known for his run based offense isn't going to help recruit WRs. So he better have a knack with durable, fast, and talented RBs. If we get a spread offense OC, who likes to sling it around, our RB coach better be able to recruit. Changing offensive philosophy may alienate some players-how the portal goes may decide next year before a down is played.
This intrigue is exciting.

The Venn diagram of Husker fans who are ecstatic to bring Frost back for another 3 or 4 win season and Husker fans who want more ex-Huskers on the coaching staff is a complete circle.
Venn diagram -- now there's a word I haven't heard since my undergraduate days.

Thanks for the memories!

Good God quit bringing up ex huskers as candidates! At this point I want the best Coordinator, and position coaches out there.
My wish list
Bobby Newcombe - Special teams coordinator
Irving Fryar- Wide Receiver coach
Mike Rozier - RB coach
Tommy Frazier- QB coach
Johnny Mitchell -TE coach
Dave Rimington - Center Coach
Will Shields- O line coach
Grant Wistrom -D line coach
Leroy Etienne -LB coach
Mike Minter -D backs coach
Tom Osborne -Special consultator
Mike Riley - Assistant to the Regional Manager
If we're gonna make changes let's do this thing right.

Got a few formers on your list, do ya Hunchie? :jumping:

Let’s be real….is anyone of the belief that SF wants to go heavy on the run? The OL techniques and body types, and the smaller RBs being recruited seem to suggest otherwise.

I know plenty of posters WANT him to want to run, but that’s not the question.

Does he want to? Probably not. Does he wnt to try and save his head coacing career? Yes. Thus, if he is smart, he will go run heavy. It's the only thing that has ever won at Nebraska to matter what the rushing schemes are.

If Frost doesn't go run heavy, his head coaching career is dead.

Seems like a lot of chatter about Tom Herman. Not a Husker alum, but he does share a special name sake. Maybe they can sell that to the Husker linage only fans.

That chatter is just random yahoos typing out easy to name names that come to their heads. Tom Herman will go after a head coaching job.

You know it wasn't by design. I just started thinking about what would be best for the program going forward and this is what I came up with. I really like the idea of Mike Riley replacing Dwight Schrute at Dunder Mifflin. Scranton PA is a long way from Lincoln. The further the better.;)
