I heard of talk, from the guy I linked to in a different thread, who was spot on with his we should here something in 72 hours if Frost is coming back, that there is talk of a former husker HC that is being talked to.
You were spot on with the 72 Hour thing. This has me really curious...Is it the same rumour I heard? Mike Riley as the Assistant to the Regional Manager?
Oh, and I read it wrong, it was a former husker HC for one of the open spots, so maybe not the OC..

Wonder what Tony Samuel is doing these days? He coached NM State to 2 winning seasons in his tenure there. That is on par with or perhaps even more impressive than winning a Natty in the college football world.
Samuel coached the defensive side of the ball as an assistant though, and the Huskers seem pretty set in that regard. Unless there is going to be some attrition on that side of the ball as well.
If we mention enough names, someone is bound to be hired.
I'm thinking Ed Gennero could come in as assistant head coach and OC. Anyone that can take a team and rebuild them after massive NCAA sanctions can help Nebraska. He can bring Wally Riggendorf along as special teams coach. I mean look at what he did with Lucy Draper and the kicking game.
And RB coach, come on, come on, that's an easy one. Al Bundy. Guys a legend. Plus just his career at Polk High would be good for the recruiting game.

just an update.. I totally goofed up what was said.. it is a former head coach, just not a former husker who was head coach.
