Jake Peetz?

Let's face it. These coaching jobs will not be filled with the creme de la creme. Scott Frost is a DMW. Anyone taking these jobs know it will more than likely be a one year stint in Lincoln for a paycheck. LSU will be replacing their entire coaching staff this year. What difference does it make who the OC is next year for Peetz ache?

Wow! That's the way to hope for the best there...

I have hope Trev Albert's will make Frost make a real hire, not going down the dumb path he did previously with his O hires.

Trev Alberts didn't force the firing, and he isn't going to force any hire on SF. Frost will succeed or fail on his own terms.

You actually believe that? ROFL. Trev is literally doing a weekly chit chat about football.

I don't believe he is going to force Frost to hire a specific coach. Then he is part of the problem if things don't improve next year. On the way out the door Frost will hint "This is the hand I was dealt. I had no choice in my replacement hires." Then part of the blame is on TA. He wants no part of that. It will be Frost's decision to make when it comes to hiring new assistants.

My guess, and its a guess because I wasn't in the meetings with TA, is that Alberts asked Scott Frost to come up with a plan going forward after the Minnesota game. He may have said I want to see what you are going to do, what changes need to be made, how are you going to get over the hump since you are so close, etc. Then the plan was brought forth and TA may have said...hmmm....same coaches? Might not work. Maybe work on the plan a bit more.

First of all, if Alberts and Frost fired all those coaches without having their replacements already in place they don't belong in Division 1 football. This wasn't some spur of the moment reaction. This has been in the works all season. Alberts told Frost long ago if he doesn't get results, heads will roll and he needs to line up replacements and clear them through Alberts.

This is not to say someone won't back out at the last moment or someone better may come available, but you can bet that the vast majority of this puzzle is already set.

It’s hard to have locked up replacements who are currently employed without tampering. They can and should have a short list of viable people to contact though.

Most, if not all, of the coaches Frost would be looking at have agents. No tampering is involved when an agent is contacted for a casual conversation. That stuff happens all the time.

The likely OC is currently a TV analyst so there would not be any tampering issue talking to him directly.

I’m not convinced that is the guy— if is was, there is no reason not to announce it now and get a jump on recruiting— SF seems to want a more physical approach with more option sprinkled in— we’ll see
