Frost wants more Husker Bucks

Holy Crap, Uenth.

Why on earth are you Holy Crapping Uenth Fumble???? I'm feeling very obtuse right now. I've spent the afternoon removing everything from my kitchen except for the cabinet over the stove and I'll do that in the morning. I'm feeling every inch of my 70+ years right now.

I haven't followed wrestling for ages but back-in-the-day, I always got a big kick out of the Road Warriors, Randy 'Macho Man' Savage and Miss Elizabeth, the Rock, Nick Foley, the Undertaker, and the legendary, Mean Gene Ockerlund.
What about Chief Wahoo McDaniel? Also the 4 Horsemen. Good times!

How could I forget Rody Roddy Piper or Andre the Giant? Do not remember Hacksaw Jim. Made a piñata one year for the nieces and nephews at Christmas and we had it Ala Rock with "the Eyebrow". Everyone loved it!

When it comes to legendary Nebraska wrestlers, the most famous was Baron Von Raschke. FYI, he was a 3-year letterman for the Huskers pre-Bob Devaney.

That's why my dad always used to do the "Iron Claw!"

This may need to go to the "Things I learned today" thread.

BTW, PN News had multiple stage names over the years. The most famous were probably the Avalanche and the Rapmaster, PN News. The latter really took off in Japan. Also, if you look up his information, he was not from Omaha.

The Baron is directly responsible for getting me in trouble. I put "The Claw" on my 4-year-old grandson. He liked it so much he put "The Claw" on some other kids at his daycare. This got his mother a call which she didn't appreciate. Some people have no sense of humor.

I love Baron Von Raschke and THE CLAW

Slapped that on our cat a few times growing up - my Mom was NOT a happy camper about that one. My brother thought it was hilarious.

Saw a video about the AWA last night and Nick Bockwinkle's reign as Heavyweight Champ. Some good memories! Basically McMahon stripped the AWA of all the talent - The Brain, Hulk Hogan, Mean Gene, Jessie the Body....all came from the AWA.

Bockwinkle was the main holdout - but really the WWF didn't need him.

Yeah, those old AWA days were great---and Vince McMahon's breakout success with the WWF was built on all the talent he took from our neck of the woods.

And don't forget ol' Joe Zweiback and his Gera-Speed commercials. Accept no substitutes. :)

My brothers used to try to figure 4 leg lock me. Fortunately they didn't know how to do it correctly!

Speaking of old school wrestlers here is one with a Husker connection

Baron von Raschke - Wikipedia

Raschke was a three-year letterman with the Nebraska Cornhuskers wrestling team in 1960, 1961 and 1962. He is listed in the university's wrestling media guide as Jim Raschke.[3] He also played football for the Cornhuskers as a left tackle in 1959 and 1960.[4] After a successful amateur wrestling career and a stint in the United States Army, Raschke pursued a career in professional wrestling.
