From the sound of it, they could probably charge him for unauthorized use of the golf team's simulator, citing missed practice time for the team that's supposed to have priority access
I'm convinced Scott Frosteses primary goal in life is to surpass Starkweather as the most hated man in the history of Nebraska.
Sounds like a bunch of legal mumbo jumbo - I predict they settle for a cup of coffee and some fresh baked cookies. Or a keg of beer.
I suspect there's some merit to Frost's case. That said, it takes some big F-ing balls to bring this case up given the PR backlash from Husker fans.
For some bizarre 'let's be nice' reason, Nebraska: 1) fired him before the October deadline that year that would have signficiantly reduced his buyout; and 2) never tried to fire him with cause. Yeah, it would have been a bad look PR wise because of all the crap that would've had to have been brought up, but still, we forked over A LOT of money to a guy who wasn't doing his job.
Most people today dont know that name. I do I was delivering papers in Lincoln during his killing spree.

I was just a baby when all that went down but as I got older, I would read the articles about the murders, trial, etc. There was a great "true crime" book written, detailing how he and his girl got together, what lead up to the murders, their capture, trial, etc. It was a chilling, but fascinating, book. I'll never forget that name and what he did.
The man just really p*sses me off. I worked really hard this season to let go of most of my anger about Frost. It did help immensely that their record was 5-7 and they're not bowling (I did take A LOT of pleasure in that).
But for God's sake, the man sucked as our coach and, near as I can tell, he sucks as a human being. But as my late FIL would say "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree" and his daddy -- UGH!!! -- not a high quality individual at any rate. I'm embarrassed that I ever wanted SF as our head coach. What a horrible person he's turned out to be.

He is an incredibly horrible human. The clown who hid while his girlfriend was pummeled has never grown up. I've heard his dad was a complete ass as well. Not surprising.

His dad is absolutely a complete ass. One of his Wood River neighbors is friends with my oldest brother and has regaled us with countless stories about Larry's behavior. My brother also dealt with him through his time as a mechanic at the dealership that used to give Larry brand new cars just because he was SF's daddy. Ran them into the ground and then demanded a new car for free. Nice gig if you can get it, I guess.

Frost wanted to make the point there are some advantages to being the HC at UCF. I get that. But he chose to do it in the most classless, raw-ass way he could. Lincoln is a fish bowl - but it is not the only one in college football. Frost at least realizes he can't handle a fishbowl...I think...maybe..
