EDIT: Martinez' Knee

Martinez did look good back there. My only critique would be that he holds on to the ball a little too long. But, I'm sure the coaches were working on that during the first practice this week. Martinez didn't throw many ugly balls, and just think what his stats would have been if his receivers didn't drop some......I'm looking forward to the next 3-4 years with him at the helm.... :happydance:
This is kind of funny because I almost thought the same thing. There were a couple of times I wish he would have pulled it down and ran. But that isn't the part I thought was funny......it was all the posters that claimed AM didn't have good enough pocket presence in the spring game and was too quick to pull it down and run.

You don't want him to hold it too long, and get drilled for a sack, but every now and then that extra second in the pocket can lead to a huge play, where a deep crossing route comes open at the last second. I'm so glad we have an experienced QB coach who can get AM, and future Husker QBs, dialed in to the finer points of the position....

That's no secret. It was stated officially earlier and one of the Colorado news sites posted it overnight.
That's cool.... I didn't think it was some big secret either I simply hadn't seen or heard it anyplace mainly because I am so far out of the loop up here in the Mountains....most of my news if you wanna call it that comes from telephone conversations not from watching all the media.

I'm not into watching all the various places, frankly I just don't have time or much less care.....just thought maybe others like me hadn't heard about it.

You can be sure however, in the future I will leave such announcements to those better qualified.

Doc.

In the long list of things that I was impressed about last Saturday in Adrian's play, the one at the top of my list was the play where he scrambled away from trouble and just as he was being tackled, he threw a strike to Morgan for a big gainer. That was one hell of a play from any star QB, let alone from a true freshman QB in his first game.

The guy who tackled him was originally flagged for a late hit--but, hilariously, it was reversed because according to the referee, Martinez had established himself "as a runner." (Stanley and 90,000 spectators would beg to differ.)

Just heard from a buddy who is in the unfortunate position of being in the know with the PAC 12 and they and CU's head coach have issued a statement they will not pursue any further action against #44 Collier who was the scumbag twisting Martinez's Knee. The Big 10 has of yet issued any statement.

This is total equine fecal matter ......how many freaking views of that Butt hat twisting the hell out of Adrian's knee do they have to see to admit it's time to discipline that guy.....I haven't checked to see if he is a Senior but Man alive I hope he is still there come next season.......the linemen I played with.....well let's just say this.....he would be peeing like a puppy for a month ......lol

That's it I'm done now......if no one is going to do anything about it....hopefully we will see that kid next year in Boulder.

Doc.
Reminds me of when KState tried to rip Crouch's head off. Our then Vet was a KState booster. He had been to a Mild Cat "function" and Grandma Snyder had a blown up picture of the helmet practically twisted around backwards on Crouch. He actually said "Face mask? What face mask?" Of course all of the boosters loved him saying that but he would have been screaming had it been reversed. Tools!

Doc keep sharing, it is always better if we can verify what we hear in the media from fhe horses mouth so to say. I don't think Chris meant it as a criticism.

Val old Buddy,
I agree he needs rest but he also needs to play to fix his freshman mistakes before the Meechicken game.....they do have a NFL caliber D front that if playing right can stuff the run.....if motivated ......and if they are on their game.
That being said old buddy he had some early 2 ND 1/2 calf cramps that was causing him to limp.....a quick IV would have fixed that if done at half time....young guys get so excited they forget to hydrate and stay balanced throughout the game and the 1/2 is when they used to try and monitor that stuff even more so if it was really hot or humid....and while it wasn't bad hot it was humid so that is just as bad.

Hope to catch up with you if you make it back this season for a home game be sure and holler bud.

Doc n Kate.
If the breeding gods agree, will be in Lincoln late in the season after a stop in Colorado to breed my red dog. If it all comes together will let you know.

To throw gas on the embers...

New video with all the angles - this is the video UNL submitted to the conferences

After watching that I want to know why AM teammates are just standing around watching

Part of the problem is, as usual, the more often those supposedly in charge create more rules, they arent supported for all the right reasons, only theirs, and it proliferates things like this.
Remember the 'you cant pull your guy from the pile' rule?
Uhuh

That dime to Spielman was better...So was the one that Morgan dropped...both on the money and receiver in stride...Dak Prescott is having issues with that...of course that’s NFL but for an 18 y/o kid? Holy Cow!

He probably was remembering Christian Peter's thumb in Chad May's eye--remember guys, we are not virgins when it comes to late hits

LOL! I was remembering that after I made that post. My FIL who was about the nicest guy in the world was chatting with my husband and started mocking May. "They poked me in my eye and then tried to hit me in an unmentionable location." Hub and I were both ROTFLOAO at him (Father).

We are definitely not innocents but to the best of my knowledge we have never made an opponent's helmet do an Exorcist move.
