I'm calling bs on that one. I don't know of ANYONE who finds COVID-19 a comfortable threat, nor do I know ANYONE who doesn't want COVID-19 to go away.

They may not put it in those terms but people getting paid no matter what seem the most vociferous about staying home.

To say this as unpolitically as I can....there are quite a few people, QUITE a few, that thrive, and are currently thriving on chaos. To those people it can be better than drugs.

Unfortunately, I have some of those people in my extended family. They are SUPER fun to deal with, too...... o_O

Yea, and some of them are on this forum!

I don't think this chaos theory as political at all - clearly there are people that flat don't like the status quo and therefore anything that appears to disrupt the way things are - they like. They can be left or right leaning.....which has interesting implications on how they are covered in the media.....but in terms of behaviors.....not sure it I see a lot of difference.

I dated one of them, and I'll say this, there was never a dull moment! Some days were like getting a root canal without Novocaine, or getting my 'nads squeezed by vise grips, but I'm so thankful that I didn't marry her! :D

Wait, so you know what it's like to have your nads squeezed in a vice?. I toast you sir!
However; it's just another indicator why Army guys are smarter. We would never allow such a tragedy to happen to us.

Now...if it was simply a test of courage, you could have easily jumped off the south rim of the Grand Canyon without a chute to prove that point.

Ya, well, you don't see much written talking about how smart Marines are. So, there is that.......People only want to talk to us when there is an urgent enemy engagement required or something needs blown up...

Its not chaos. Its fear. The saying "everybody needs a boogeyman" is real and its based in discontent. There are people that NEED something to be wrong. Thats not a slam on anyone, it's a personality trait that can be good or bad.

LO freakin' L

I was thinking Larry, Darrel and Daryl from Bob Newhart's last sitcom
I will have to agree with Jimbosc, these guys should be awarded the contract. They can do it with a flair that I just can't duplicate.... :D
