Not my point. Not exactly true. Extremely aggressive viruses are much easier to get under control because they kill their hosts rapidly, losing the ability to mutate and pass on.
My point is, SARS is still around, far deadlier, should we alter our lives?
We have a vaccine, people get the vaccine, but still act like its SARS at the door.
The only question is mutations, and the continued viability of the current vaccine, you and I know this.
But, whats not being said is, in the interum, UNTIL or IF the virus mutates, we are safe.
The other thing not being said is, virus almost always get weaker as they become more infectious, same coin, different side of the SARS understanding, killing the host slows infections, if the opposire occurs, great infectious capability, it will need hosts, lots of them, so they cant put them at home, in the hospital etc, where people tend not to mix, feeling as they do, so a lightening of effect, coupled with a very high infectious rate will out pace a slower, more deadlier form of the same virus.
