A smart move in this NIL era.I noticed Alex Bullock and Elijah Jeudy, both listed as juniors on the roster, walked on Sr. Day.

Gonna be a lot of guys who spend that extra year elsewhereI noticed Alex Bullock and Elijah Jeudy, both listed as juniors on the roster, walked on Sr. Day.
We lost Coleman. But i strongly suspect that when it comes to most of our returners, it will depend on how badly we want them back.Gonna be a lot of guys who spend that extra year elsewhere
Bullock was a redshirt so as a student he's a senior. I believe he's been injured and may have played his last college game.I noticed Alex Bullock and Elijah Jeudy, both listed as juniors on the roster, walked on Sr. Day.
Not sure but i think he said before the season started , that he just came back to play one more year with his brother.Bullock was a redshirt so as a student he's a senior. I believe he's been injured and may have played his last college game.
I don't know about Jeudy, maybe a RS also?
No surprise. Rhule has to get the roster down to 105 players.

I think fans are going to also have to come to the realization that walk-ons and the OL that works hard for 4 years and finally starts his 5th year are probably the thing of the past. The one thing I wish the NCAA would do away with is the redshirt and just makes players eligible to play 5 years. Trying to get guys in 4 games just seems like a difficult way to keep a redshirt. If they are allowing players to have immediate eligibility, then just let players have 5 years. There are about 20 underclassmen players on the DL with a couple of more coming in, so it doesn't surprise me to see some of them going to the portal. I wouldn't be surprised to see a half dozen more leave.
Most of the running backs on this roster have been unproductive. Maybe the schemes don't fit their talents, or their talents are not up to the level necessary. I won't be surprised if several of them depart, and an upgrade of talent comes in as well.
In reality, recruiting is a crap shoot. You often are taking players in need of development or the best player available to fill a need. Half of these players or more are not going to pan out. In today's football you can't afford to carry all this dead weight. Rhule is going to have to make some tough decisions and send some players who are working their butts off but not up to what is needed at this level down the street. This is where his pro background will be valuable. That is what happens all the time in the pros. He will have to look at what he has on the roster, incoming recruits, and what is available in the portal to build the best team he can assemble. Then cut the rest. I think this will work well for NU. The recruiting is good, and they have a lot of NIL money. This should add up to a pretty good team.
