Does this mean all the guys who hold up the signs with the bizarre images will lose their jobs?

This is the perfect year to bring helmet headsets into the college game.

I believe it is going to make it much easier for younger players (like Dylan and Danny) to stay 'in the moment' and focused. They get the play immediately and don't have to worry about translating a bunch of signs. Keep in mind, the coaches on the other end of the headset are former NFL guys with considerable experience working with QBs on headphones.

My gut tells me this will be a much bigger thing than many fans may realize.

It certainly allows for more direct coaching of the player wearing the sound enabled helmet (the QB on offense) - as he can get the play and relay it in the huddle while continuing to get instructions until the cut off. Agree this could be huge for inexperienced QBs that get "tips" on reads and any alignment issues. One thing it can't fix is audibles if you are the road team - part of the sideline signs being sent in is so the whole team can see the updated play call without having the QB call it out when it is too loud to do so. Easier to just always use signs to ensure everyone gets the call. That said - the risk of sign stealing might override concerns about a QB audible being missed. Be interesting to see how it plays out.

Adding a clock stop at the two minute warning for each half is just another way to shoe-horn in another f*ing commercial set in a three plus hour broadcast which already has way too f*ing many pauses for commercials. It's ridiculous.

And on a related note, hey @BHF Administrator what is the deal with all the ads? Used to have ads at the top and could scroll the entire thread page and not see ads until the bottom of the thread page. Now there are ads at the top, on the bottom, and a f*ing ad every other post. #LessAdsWouldBeGreat

Totally agree!

1)This is a free site; and 2) I don't see a whole bunch of donations popping up each month from those of us who regularly frequent this place.

Boards like this one need money to pay the bills. I'm shocked that in all the years now that I've been here, we've never been solicited to donate. The only indication 'it would be appreciated' is the innocuous little donation box on the right side of the page. Seems to me that clicking away an ad is the least we can all do.

I'm worried that right after I donate, I'll say something "wrong" and get banned.

Never been banned - here.

Facebook - been banned SO many times.....lol

I will say Facebook jail serves a mean Pepper Steak on Tuesdays. Almost worth the incarceration.

Also been banned from several SubReddits - mostly political ones. People get a little sensitive in those and they typically have the monitor bots cranked up to keep things civil. Ah well.
