So you know , that is not what is being discussed,. But what is being discussed is “the moral compass “ statement of morality by legislation. .
Is murder evil? How about robbery, what level of robbery? Is it in the interest of society to influence the number of people who are alcoholics? Should there be a high tax on tobacco? Should it be against the law to walk naked downtown? Should law enforcement not stop someone who is attempting to set themselves on fire? At what age should someone be able to marry?? Should it be against the law for investing firms to intentionally lie??? Should companies that build products that could potentially harm someone be sued??

Literally you will NEVER build any society or government that doesn't have some form of "morality codes". In the law that is WHAT they do.

Please read previous posts as so things do not have to be repeated. And I am quite tired of “whataboutisms”

Also just to explain because you are using a strawman argument. You aren't against morality, you simply want to substitute your morality for the one that the laws are stating. In either case it is an issue of social morals; whether yours or others. You just don't want others to have their right of influence.

Using the word "whataboutisms" isn't an argument it is a deflection when you don't know how to respond.
Ok fine, cheeseburger’s are not good for you. Some people believe that cows are treated poorly. I say we make all hamburgers illegal on the grounds that it’s morally wrong to kill and eat cows . And it’s also unhealthy. There’s your “whataboutism “

Sounds pretty stupid when you think about that way , doesn’t it

Now now now.....let's not get all crazy with that kinda talk. If we're going to ban anything it has to be boneless chicken wings. Those things are wrong all around.
