Mike'L getting real about Frost on twitter

There are a few reasons why one would want to know what happened during the Scott Frost era.

Society's fascination with car wrecks, train wrecks, and airplane crashes. Look at all that destruction! Of, the humanity!

Validation. I didn't like that guy and wanna know all the bad crap he did.

Uncover the blanket of secrecy that allowed, abetted this happening. This is more than the failure of Frost here. Something's rotten in Denmark and it ain't the fish. The stink goes back to the Riley hire.

There are probably many more reasons, but these are the three main ones. Most folks, if they're honest, have a combination of reasons.
Some want to close their eyes and make it all go away.
All are valid.

If SF was such a bad person off the field then Trev should not have let him talk to the team. IMO

MRJFB- I totally agree the HC needs to be the most demanding person of all coaches and nobody should need to hold his hand to make sure he is doing basic things. However, if a new HC needs to learn some things then he needs to learn some things. There is nothing wrong with learning new things and help should be given. HC's should be willing to always learn new stuff. At some point he either does the things discussed on his own or he doesn't. At that point he needs to be fired.
Right.
Osborne shared information and techniques with other coaches. Both on the giving and receiving end. But I doubt someone made him do it while nodding to his contract.

I agree, it’s almost as if there’s a group of people that just don’t want the program to be successful.

Yeah, I agree with your points.

I think everyone has some sort of tendency to crane one's neck when driving by an accident. I might feel better if I didn't like Frost or didn't want him to succeed. Uncovering how this happened is what I don't need to know but I would like the University to address this and hopefully keep it from happening again. I admit to some curiosity but I'm tampering it down because it really isn't any of my business.

Did The King from Burger King take Col Sanders place? Or Elon Musk?

I agree, Pavlov's Dog.

Listen, I'm not into demonizing anyone. Heck, the other day I argued with somebody here who was attempting to demonize Mike Riley of all people! But that said, our former head coach is leaving town with 37 million dollars after four straight losing seasons and 2 losses out of 3 games in Season 5. So given the school, given the tradition, given the fanbase, given the commitment of resources and institutional support, given the private support for NIL, and given the recruiting classes and the transfer portal acquisitions, I think it's fair for fans to ask, "WHAT IN THE HELL HAPPENED?" :)

Listen, nobody really wants to bring up dirt but on the other hand, nobody want to 'reward' unprofessional behavior with 37 million dollars either if only a fraction of the rumors floating around out there are true. At this point, I just super-happy that, just like the players, we fans have a new lease on life--Hey, we're all starting over from scratch, baby!!!

Go Coach Joseph and Go Big Red!!!

The important people will deal with things if what has been rumored turns out to be true. Me, I'm moving on. But I just don't think we're getting a miracle fix. I don't think this is a B10 West contender with tackling in practice and a few tweaks here and there.

The west is wide open for a team like DONU to get their poop together and win it

I have never been a Scott Frost fan but don't like seeing someone kicked when they are down. I think he knew he was history before the season started. HIs body language was that of a beat dog, and he was not engaged in the game. With that kind of attitude, you are not going to give the effort needed. In every game he made calls that hurt the team. The onside kick, calling time out giving the opponent more time to score and last week not going for it on 4th and inches when his defense had not gotten a stop all night. All these calls baffled me.

In spite of all his shortcomings Frost left NU a better place than when he came here. All is not doom and gloom. The talent is much better. We have legitimate RBs, WRs and QBs. The running game is the best it has been in years. In fact, the entire offense is improved. The Special Teams are much better as well. In truth, all the areas where Alberts forced changes have greatly improved.

This year's main problems have been tackling, lack of pass rush, terrible LB play and defensive schemes. It appears MJ sees this and has some solutions. I want to see what he can do.

Yes, yes, and yes. Bottom line is the Frost Era is over and it's time to move on. I hold no ill will towards the man and honestly wish that things had turned out differently.

I wish Scott and his family nothing but the best in the future.

Now, I'm more concerned with what HCMJ can do.

GO BIG RED!!!

This is pretty good outside perspective. I think they hit the nail on the head with “lack of identity”.

Things are still wide open as far as I can tell. We've lost one conference game. It matters what we do from here on out.

So, LET'S GO BIG RED!!!!

I currently have Covid, again, so I'll be watching the game from home. Will be enjoying adult beverages, and will social distance from my Golden Retriever and Basset Hound.

Well crap, that sucks. Our numbers here are up and down but so far we've only had it after the guy parked his burning car next to our PVC fence, melting it. We're pretty sure either the driver or his passenger gave it to us.

Hope you have a light case of it.

Thank you and it has been a light case. One day of feeling crappy, but not overly so. Now I'm just bored out of my mind.

And that kind of attitude from the top dog is infectious, contagious and outrageous. The "I'm a loser" mentality seeped into the entire program. I think MJ is just the right guy to change that attitude and right the ship.
