Mickey Joseph

[ATX_Husker]

From the article:

LSU's assistant head coach the past two seasons and on staff with the Tigers the past five, Joseph is in negotiations on a potential return to Lincoln, Nebraska, to join Scott Frost's staff as wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator, per multiple sources.

Interesting. Is there an OC already picked out then who is approving this hire with Frost? It would seem odd if the new OC didn't have a vote in this.

Most of the noise is about Tom Herman and Chad Morris.

Chad Morris seems to have great Texas high school connections.

We just heard this morning that the decision making process is pretty much wrapped on who for what.

Thanks Doc. Looking forward to welcoming the new crew and moving on to bigger and brighter days.

Our kids downloaded this voice typing thing and it is taking time to be able to use it.

Sorry if things seem short, or broken up.

You mean so Ms Kate doesn't have to type your messages?

[Bummerbry]

For all open positions Doc?

Heard the same thing. Any names you can tell us?

[Sgt Red]

I'm thinking Mickey Joseph smoke is turning to fire.

[Jimbosc]

Also sounds like we will have a special teams coordinator as a full time assistant from what I read/heard earlier today. Not sure that will happen on the same timeline as the OC/assistants.

[NebSailor]

Hopefully the sports psychologist position got filled…seems to be the most needed.

Doc I bet you end up loving that software once you get used to it. Good luck!

I look forward to your take on the hires once they are announced. I am most concerned about OL and OC for obvious reasons. Fingers crossed

Thanks for the update. I'll feel better when the process is over and recruiting becomes our focus.

My prediction: Names will be announced and people will for the most part, praise the selections and get all giddy. You know, like we did with the guys we just fired. lolz

[smallz243]

Except we weren't giddy for the UCF staff. I'd feel pretty good about MJ with some of the receivers he helped put in the league, regardless of how talented they were.

I hear ya, Nebraska99. I don't want to sound crass but a key component in the decision to keep Frost and toss 4 assistants is marketing the new hires to the fan base.

Trev and all of the Powers-that-Be are crossing their fingers that the four new coaches are gonna knock our socks off and give us all a huge dose of renewed hope going into 2022.

Knowing us Husker fans, it's likely going to work.
