Memorial makeover?

I’m looking forward to a second season of the Huskers playing on grass in Memorial Stadium, 99.

My very first season of Husker football games, the field was grass, If my math is correct, that was 55 seasons ago.

I'm not going for one-ups-man-ship here, but I saw my first game in Memorial stadium 75 years ago. It seated 33,000 back then.

Jesssss, I ran track there...sat in the knothole section too, long long time ago.

No, but TV was... :tongue0015: Also, I believe the scoreboard was manually operated by hanging numbered cards to indicate the score.
Pretty soon no one will believe us when we say that TV was black and white, a family only had one phone and it was connected on your wall by wires to make it work, one bathroom was all most homes had and so very much more.

Our phone was on the wall with a handle you spun to get the operator, boy if they could see me now. Our bathroom was a 2 holer outside. Boy am I glad those days are over

Funny, hub's sis lived on an acreage outside of town about 45 years ago. They had indoor plumbing but there was also a 2 holer outside leftover from days of yore. Lots of parties were held in that house and most of the time, we ladies we pair up and venture outside to the 2 holer. When the tornadoes roared through GI in June of '80, they also damaged SIL's property. The saddest part was that the 2 holer was blown away to parts unknown. It was missed the most in the tornadoes aftermath as no electricity nor running water for several weeks so that 2 holer would have been very handy.
