It seems like we should have an on paper victory.

I am concerned the PSU distraction will cause a let down - not to mention a 2nd road game on a short week. I consider this a toss up game. Odds makers have us as a 7 point favorite - this feels like it should be a even game to me (home field included).

On Monday, Rhule's "I'm happy" presser didn't completely convince me, especially after every pundit in the world opined that Matt Rhule was the perfect coach for Penn State. (And truthfully, HE IS!!!) But in response to that buzz, Coach came back later this week and made it about as crystal clear as a guy could possibly get without ballbusting his alma mater to assure his players, his recruits, and our fans that he's staying put.
I know we've grown accustomed to high anxiety over the years. It's become second nature for us. But it's time to put this 'Rhule could leave!' phobia to bed and enjoy a fun night of Husker football tonight.

I didn't say he was going to PSU, I said if we win he probably still stays at NU. In otherwords losing will send a message to Penn State, Rhule isn't their guy. Winning he probably still isn't because they would need to see his body of work through the rest of the season.
I hope we do run the table and end up 11-1 and Rhule stays.
He is not the perfect HC for PSU. The perfect guy just signed a new contract. M R would/will be considered 2 nd choice unless he wins a Natty for us.

I hope he doesn't leave. He's been a great Ambassador for Nebraska and we need the coaching carousel to stop.
It would have been nice if Rhule would have said, "No. I'm not going anywhere. I'm staying here. Next question." But he didn't exactly say that. Thus the angst among the Husker faithful.

After his initial comments on Monday (which were clear but arguably not definitive), he's used the national spotlight on him to hype Nebraska to enhance recruiting (i.e. Nebraska is a destination job, we've got a great young team, the fans here are elite, Lincoln has 300,000 people and has everything you'd want, we're going to be a perennial top team, etc., etc.)
