I swore I wasn't going to open this thread ... but I was weak. Aaaaaand, of course, I see NebSailor is still up to his old tricks.

One take and I'm back outta here: I could have sworn that a college education was the very antithesis of indoctrination. In my mind, it's always been about opening a young person's mind to exciting, new ways of viewing this world, whatever the subject. It's easier to reaffirm and/or evolve your own personal beliefs about many things once you realize how big and diverse this world really is.

Seems to me that any father who sees college as a threat doesn't trust his kids to think for themselves and basically wants clones of himself.

Influenza almost claimed my wife. We are also taking our eye off the ball when it comes to other conditions that were in the middle of being treated then stopped because of Kung Flu. I’m telling you...The statistics will come out about people passing from a condition they already had (like cancer) and oh BTW...They had C-19.

And this is why they shouldn't include COVID-19 as a cause of death when folks have cancer or some other terminal illness where they had to pause their treatments. It was most likely the terminal illness that caused the death.
