Except that our ER is currently overrun with C-19 cases. If he doesn't have it, that's a great way for him to get him. He's laying low, taking decongestent, keeping fluids in him. I'm monitoring his breathing issues and temperature. If he spikes a fever or starts having difficulty breathing, he will go to ER.

Otherwise, we're waiting for test results on Monday. If he's negative, I'll call for an appointment. If he's positive, we'll follow what doc's office tells us to do.
If you don't have one, go get yourself a blood oxygen monitor.

OK, so we got an email from our doc this morning and hub is positive for COVID-19. So far, he seems to have mostly mild symptoms. His worst being the total and 100% fatigue. He's got some congestion which decongestants seem to help with. If he stands too long, that's when he feels like he's not getting enough O2. That's the one that concerns me but, at this point, a trip to the ER is not warranted. I will throw his butt in my car and take him to ER if I don't like his coloring or breathing.

I'll call the doc's office tomorrow and go in for testing in the afternoon.

We are both so pissed about this. Seriously, the guy whose car caught on fire has to be the guy who infected hub. He was very excitedly talking to hub. He was not social distancing and, because he was excited about the fire, he would have had lots of spittle flying from his mouth. This is the ONLY time hub has been out without a mask and 4-1/2 days later he starts displaying symptoms.

All you mask naysayers, please consider wearing one. To me it's just not worth the chance of not wearing a mask. I told my brother that even if I have it, I'll continue to wear a mask afterwards. We don't know with certainty how long the immunity lasts. Scientists are pretty certain that it's not a lifetime immunity so what the hell. I'll continue to wear my mask.

Public Service Announcement over.

In close proximity, mask or no, you can get it by breathing in, like one guy said, a mask is like a chain link fence stopping mosquitos,, but soe will be caught on the fence, so it definately helps, because hopefully, theres two masks being worn, twice as much, but only lessoned, not conquered.

Me, I wear one, but dont believe for a second fixers, only helpers.

Anyhow, I'll send a prayer out for you both, hopefully they get treatment early for him, and he responds well to it, take care you two.

At least with a mask on, you feel like you've given it your best shot. We were both so stunned to see huge flames shooting up in the air over our fence that we just ran out the door without thinking.

Anyway, I've said before I have utmost confidence in the masks that I've made. They aren't those flimsy one layer things you buy. I've got 4 layers of fabric and they have darts (folds) so there is actually more than 4 layers of fabric around your nose and mouth.

Kind of hard to blame the other guy for not wearing a mask if your husband wasn't either though.

Since we're on our property and he was trespassing, I have that right. Not to mention he damanged my fence and was too much of an asshat to have car insurance. Yeah, I have that right.

Seriously, I don't think that very many people are going to think about grabbing a mask when they see 20'+ flames outside their fence. Your first thought is for your property, like our house.

You're kind of crotchety. Been off goats or something? If so, go get one.

Uenth, I hope everything goes ok for you husband. Hopefully this time next year this will all be in the review mirror for all of us.

Having said that, I think this thread has run it's course and I am going to close it. We have lost several members due to the rancor including SOC. So let's move on.
