He doesn't have yes men. He has I have no clue men.

Even in his offense he wants and needs to pass the ball. btw: he was also successful at Navy. So IMO that would be a good hire, bring back the truest form of triple option and tuff nasty Defense.

Hard to make an argument for keeping any of the coaches at this point. Brown, Kaz you maybe can. It's hard to tell.......But, I agree that the OL is not very good and no one should be immune to criticismSUHnami;35241 said:Garrison would have to go. His OL coaching is atrocious. I don't think Garrisson or Kaz are too bad, but the defensive secondary needs a new coach. The tight ends basically disappeared this year. I'm disappointed in RB's, too.

Good, reality based post, Bry. It may not be what many of us want to hear, but it's most likely the reality we are in. The reality of firing Bo is not likely, and our ability to draw some of the top shelf coaches will be problematic if we fire a 9-10 win coach, like it or not. Unless SE has a coach in mind that trusts him implicitly. I think it sucks, but I think we will still have the same coaches next year. SE had his out last year to get rid of Bo for issues other than the W-L record, but declined, so I fear we are stuck with him. And, I would be shocked if Bo fires his hand picked OC and DC.......I'm not sure how the Bo supporters still think he is the answer. He seems to have no answers for the disastrous collapses, and he has made poor choices hiring his most critical assistants. Where then are his strengths that merit support? As for the players, you can blame them I guess. But, do they come in to College football knowing everything they need to know? Not usually, but maybe a few of the elite do. The coaches are supposed to develop, prepare and set expectations of performance for these players to get them playing high level College FB. Far more blame lies at the feet of the coaches for what we are seeing. Like was mentioned in another post, "If you see it on the field, it is either coached or allowed"......There are no remaining excuses for performances like we keep seeing against the better teams....Bummerbry;35271 said:Unfortunately the OL hasn't been better under Garrison and that is with better overall talent, but he is a solid recruiter and young. He should improve in time. Kaz is doing fine and is a good recruiter.
I agree on both coordinators. I think folks need to pump the brakes with the "coach wish list" stuff, not because they shouldn't feel that way but because the likelihood of 99% of those names becoming reality are so slim it isn't funny. And a big part of that has to do with $$$ on both ends. Buying out existing coaches and paying new.
The more likely thing, and even this isn't as likely as we might hope, is that Bo is forced to make changes. Mainly at the coordinator positions. But would Bo, being the players' coach and the coaches' coach he is, do it? If he doesn't, then he should probably hit the road. What happened Saturday was too eerily similar to many other losses, where the offense under performs and enough guys on defense just lay down, that the team and the program is embarrassed beyond belief.
I haven't heard of too many previous Bo supporters jumping ship. They are "done with" some of the assistants however. And many former players, including some I have spoken with directly both during and after the game, lay most of the blame at the feet of the players. But they acknowledge it is on the coaches to get things corrected and that isn't getting done.
I would prefer any and all of this talk wait until the season is over, but I know it won't!

Worse than the failures are the examples of miserably coached teams replete with endemic problems. There is always an excuse.
Firing the staff will only delay the reality is Bo is way over his head and eventually he will have to go. HE RUNS THE PROGRAM. No one doubts that. The DC and OC do as he orders and coach the way he wants them too. He will still be in charge and THAT IS the problem. His influence runs through out the program. If you want more of the same, keep BO. If you want change then he has to go.
