Bowl Game?

These are players on scholarship, room, training facilities, meals, shoes, training gear and clothing. I hate to be a hard a** about this, but I wouldn't have allowed the players to vote on this issue. If we know anything about the players on this Husker team, we know that they need as much practice and game experience as they can get. But I guess I'm just getting too old and need to get over the concept of physical and mental toughness for our young men. More man buns and less testosterone.

I have mixed feeling on this but no need for me to beat a dead horse, it's already jerky. Now having said that, one of my first thoughts was "since when was football a democracy?"

It's most definitely not a normal year. It will be interesting to see how '21 pans out.

Yep
Still see it both ways, this year.

How can your leader make leadership calls if it becomes a democracy led team first?

Isn't the B1G one of the conferences that shares bowl revenue amongst all the teams in the league? If so, should a team that voluntarily opts out of playing sniff a penny of that money?
Give a quick list of the bowls you think will turn a profit this year— (CFP doesn’t count) so the question is, do we have to subsidize the teams that go

GBR

That's a good question to follow my question. However, even if the bowls don't profit the teams still get guaranteed money. And yes, CFP money does count.

l'm good with what the team decides to do. Their health and welfare is priority.

I see lots of fans that think of themselves and wanting to see another game, selfish motives...

It was absurd to think of playing a bowl game, what 5 days after playing Rutgers, and that number of practices would make a difference?

And the bowl game treated like an away game at that.
No fun, not events, nothing to see, and no time to see it.

Wish theyd played, but I get it, trying to put it in their perspectives, vs previous bowls, and why its now so different, which weighed all year on everyone.

Just as a humorous note to how messed up 2020 is all around in our lives, has anyone seen the Match.com commercial where the Devil starts dating a lady named "2020". Hilarious.

We're continually haunted by the decision to postpone the start of the season early on. This is just another example. Scott called the players back early and threw them into isolation only to find out everything was a no go. It's been a long haul for them

Every team has had to play games and deal with protocols. Many have completed a full season or close to it with 11 games under their belt. Those teams like Army for example are left out of a bowl because they are not affiliated with any conference.
So yeah it's been a tough year on everybody but not any tougher on Nebraska than anyone else.
I don't want to watch this team play another game. It doesn't seem like Frost does either.

Major overhaul, rock bottom, pandemics and losing a parent takes it toll
