AM2 should he stay or will he go?

Can't argue with that for sure. I was calling for Smothers this year and it just didn't happen for reasons I just don't understand. Coaching again!
I agree and Smothers looked pretty good until he ran into Yant in the 3rd Qtr and dropped the ball. Of course that was his first start. For sure Smothers should have gotten the start over at Minne...What the hell were they thinking?

Baloney, I hope he leaves, he is simply not durable enough to play in the B1G and be responsible for 75 percent of the running plays. If he stays then you can expect another 9 loss season. You guys kill me....what a joke. (he is a great kid but he is poor leader)

He'll, if it actually exists, has frozen over because I agree 100% with Val, here. Adrian Martinez is, as I have said numerous times on this site, by all accounts a terrific young man who does things the right way in the classroom and off the field. That being said, from a football perspective, I hope he moves on. We have had five losing seasons, 4 of which #2 has been the #1 QB. He comes back for his final season there is a 99.9% probability we end 2022 with a 6th consecutive losing season. I like Adrian as a person, but strictly talking football, he needs to move on.

It hard to argue with this.............so I won't.

Imo this is a lose lose for Frost. If Adrian goes and lights it up then Scott will be the guy that couldn't create the tools needed for a four star athlete to excel. On the other hand if Adrian goes and lays an egg, Scott will be the guy that couldn't recognize talent, and held back other potential candidates from participating. Scott is going to catch crap no matter how it plays out imo.

It will be worse if he excels elsewhere, don't think it will look too bad on us if he bombs. He did set multiple records while he was here (good and bad).

Sometimes I think Frost is both.

I honestly don't see it that way. Sometimes things just don't work out. And really, Adrian excelling at another school, under different coaches, would be proof positive that Verduzco warranted being fired and should have been fired earlier than he was.

While you and I might agree, I'd bet quite a bit of money that many won't.

There will be plenty that think it's a good thing and plenty that think it's a bad thing.
All we can agree on is that he is leaving and was a great person while representing the University and good luck!
Agree - the question Husker fans are left asking is "who is the guy" for 2022. No way to know right now - but hopefully the remaining QBs are in the mix and can be effective in whatever the scheme is going to be.

I'm still betting there will be a qb transfer in.

That is a safe bet. The question I have is: What type of system will we run next year? Same one as we have now with no changes? A system like we have now, but with some changes? Or a completely different system?

Frost has already said they werent making any major changes to the system. I think we will see pretty much the same thing we have seen for the last 4 years with some tweaks here and there. Maybe mostly to offensive line blocking.
