A particular poster incited that exact sentiment when Doc stated his connections indicate Scott does not want the job.

Doc: "My sources indicate that Scott doesn't want the job" Everyone else: "SO YOU LOVE MEDIOCRITY?!"

Exactly. What do they expect him to say? "Gosh yeah, I can't wait to take a power 5 gig. Things aren't great at my alma matter, so hopefully they come calling soon."

I've thought about this subject a lot and I think NU football eroded slowly over time. OU's decline. - Wanting to beat each other every year keeps teams on their toes. OU took a downward spiral and made the rivalry less than relevant in the 90s. Big 8 to Big 12- The Texas schools imposed a new...

Dial it back.

I think you're right.

A mod once told me "If you don't like BHF, go somewhere else." I happily did. Looks like lots of others have as well.

Haven't posted on this site in months and just happened to check this morning. For what it's worth, it seemed to me that plenty of posters got ran off for voicing opinions, thoughts and ideas that didn't coincide with long time posters. This site used to be a fun place to check before and...

Very interesting point regarding Bo's classes and attrition. I'm curious if there's any site that does recruiting class grading retroactively.

I worked briefly in the prison system here in NE. I can definitely confirm all kinds of nefarious behavior from all levels within the prison. I can only imagine how horrifyingly amplified it would be at a place like Kern Valley.

FWIW, I recall hearing he went home and went to bed and someone called him and told him she was at Frost's. Regardless, I would be very interested to hear some unbridled accounts of how the team reacted to Frost and LP. I could have easily seen players taking sides.

Found this article from 1996 and noticed this bit "In his recently released book, "On Solid Ground," Husker head coach Tom Osborne wrote that Frost and Phillips' victim (whom he does not name) "were more than acquaintances," and that Osborne had warned Frost before the incident not to get...

She bothered me. She was so certain that a convicted murderer who happened to be a gang member posed no threat to LP, and LP just lashed out... after watching the doc, I don't buy that for a second. I am curious as to the results of the brain scan and whether or not CTE played any kind of...

Would anyone be willing to share a link to an online stream for us serfs who do not have Showtime?

Oh for crying out loud.

Not trying to be hyperbolic or pessimistic, but it wouldn't shock me if this game is reminiscent of NU's most recent visit to Columbus.

Well I'm glad that you're confident in his abilities. I for one, have been very hesitant in believing he was a capable choice for Defensive Coordinator. I'm willing to let it play out though. There were times this year when defensive players were in position to make a big stop, but whiffed...

To me the biggest positive from the season was not having a loss to a mind numbingly inferior team. Iowa, Wisconsin and Ohio St are all far more stable and established than NU is right now. The blowouts though were pretty rough. The season as a whole was largely just more of the same. Meh. 9-3...

You owe me a new keyboard.
