    Mark Whipple.

Mark Whipple's offense during his three years at Pitt ranked nationally 119-59-3. Not bad IMO

    Mark Whipple.

Ah you beat me to it Doc, he has an impressive resume and was the OC who mentored Big Ben (youngest QB to ever win a Super Bowl) with the Steelers. Me personally is that while he has the resume you still need the Jimmy and Joes to make it work. His age and experience could be a good help to...

AM2 should he stay or will he go?

I have seen enough over the years to feel good about his departure from DONU, the liabilities outweigh his records, his lack of clutch outweighs his hot streaks between the 20's. Since HCSF is cleaning up the O side coaching staff might as well go full monty and insert, recruit, develop a new QB...

    3-9 Let that sink in.

If you take into account this years record, players leaving through graduation or transfer portal etc. going with a 6-6 record for next year. The question is would a 6-6 or 7-5 record appease the Husker base as progress?

    Wisconsin Pregame Thread

I hope AM2 leaves the program, one must ask what's the common denominator in one score losses. It points to AM2, between the late game TO's he just doesn't have the skill as a game closer. He does not possess the mental skill in the clutch. We either find someone in the transfer portal or start...

    Jake Peetz?

If HCSF wants to go full on run then take a look at former OC Bob DeBesse. He understands the run game BUT we can just about forget the passing game that's the trade off. I suspect the OC from Army would be cut from the same cloth all run hit or miss with the passing game

    Jake Peetz?

I don't give a damn where he comes from as long as he motivates, build strong fundamentals, discipline and most importantly understands the ebbs and flows of the game with his schemes. The game within the game has been sorely missing since TO left and that is must have in the tool box of the...

    He's back

Say what you want about Callahan, in the NFL he is one of the best OL coaches in the biz!

    He's back

I like how the University handled the situation very business like, minimized excessive payout, drew a line in the sand on job performace though it's one year out while minimizing the proverbial revolving head coaching door. The one thing that we should all be excited about is no more HCSF...

    JoJo

That's disheartening to hear, he is my favorite player on the D. I hope spit, dirt and wrapping allows him to finish out the next two games.

Where did you hear or read that?

    Greatest Common Factor

No doubt he is a bigger liability than asset. But one would have to ask if HCSF knew this why in four years haven't they corrected that by the transfer portal or development. These are issues why HCSF should be held accountable when he sits with ADTA at the end of the year.

    Poster from another site..

Very Good Article, he lays out somethings we as fans just aren't privy too, what goes on behind the scenes can sink a good team, It also indirectly validates what an ex Special Team Analyst told me and my son...that the day to day & coaching staff is a clusterphuck.

    It's Monday morning....

If I was a big time donor who threw good money at the University over and over to rid one coach for an alleged better one, I would sit this one out, therefore IMO he stays to minimize the excessive buyout

Seeking Doc Holiday position on situation

I read Doc's post and it behooves me why anyone on here would want to go after him and Kate. The forum is dwindling down each and every year, some by age, some by giving up and others just fed up of being jumped on for offering their opinion (right or wrong). Let's hope he cools off and...

    2AM Rumor

In all my years involved in football I have never witnessed a HC tolerating the amount of mistakes coming from the QB than I have with AM2/Frost. It's almost as if AM2 has pictures on Frost. As far as playing Smothers, he deserves the opportunity to remove AM2 from the throne during the bye...

    Now I'm done

Yo Buddy, don't wanna rain on your retirement parade but you and I will NOT see another National Championship by Nebraska in our remaining lifetime. Congrats on your retirement & did you celebrate at Sadies ??

    Where was the option?

I still believe that the first OC that intertwines the Option with Spread or Pistol offense will have developed an offensive juggernaut for the ages.

Woulda's and what if's... but I feel for Coach Frost on this one

I'm not missing the point I saw things for what they are, I removed my emotions and looked at how to use a game like this to put a better product on the field. The years of bitching and moaning have been engrained in the fan base. Take a step back and think that this team went the full monty...
