And Michigan State went against the wind too. The wind shouldn't effect an Olinemans ability to block someone. They were going into the wind in both those qtrs
It doesnt but it can certainly destroy a pass or pitch or punt/kick.And Michigan State went against the wind too. The wind shouldn't effect an Olinemans ability to block someone.

I forget how far was that pass to Barney? Im unsure where your going with this, (did you miss the two lousy qtrs?) but nothing on DR, he ate the ball a lot of times rather than throw a pick when the receivers were covered, which is what we want. He hold s the ball just too long when he should throw it away. The wind was not helpful except when it was behind our backs. He is not Patrick Mahones . If your saying he is perfect, he isnt, but that isnt saying that he is bad. We are just going to have to disagree about the wind which was gusting and blowing hard, the flags were straight out.He threw a beautiful pass on the run to Barney against the wind sparking our comeback win.
He isn’t just holding the ball too long and taking a 3-yard sack. He often tries to run backwards out of pressure making it a 10+ yard sack.I forget how far was that pass to Barney? I had to smile at this, Val, given Mahomes’ 99-yard Pick Six last night that turned the tide against the Chiefs last nightbut nothing on DR, he ate the ball a lot of times rather than throw a pick when the receivers were covered, which is what we want. I understand our passion about the Huskers. But, yeah, some of the comments are just too damn much. I'm not sure what the kid has to do to get people off his back.I have never seen or heard of a more fickle fan base in all my days.
DR, hang in there kid, you are doing fine. Apologies for some of these comments that are floating around the interwebs
I'm of the opinion that anything said in the heat of the game or in the hours afterwards shouldn't be held against a fan. But I'm flabbergasted by some of the DR crappola I'm still hearing days after the Sparty game.I understand our passion about the Huskers. But, yeah, some of the comments are just too damn much. I watched that pass again and it was indeed very nice rollout play, on Barney who was wide open and Dylan who did not missHe threw a beautiful pass on the run to Barney against the wind sparking our comeback win.
Ummm you totally missed the point. We sucked for the better part of 2 quarters until that 20+ yard pass to Barney into that stiff wind who them made it a 52 yard pass after the catch. Then EJ scores on the next play. 2 plays and the game tying TD. In otherwords he made the play that sparked this team who was basically lifeless until that point. His OLine broke down but he stepped up into the pocket and rolled to the right to avoid the rush.I forget how far was that pass to Barney? One of the nations top QBs is being a tad bit charitable.I'm of the opinion that anything said in the heat of the game or in the hours afterwards shouldn't be held against a fan. But I'm flabbergasted by some of the DR crappola I'm still hearing days after the Sparty game.
Some fans are saying with a straight face that we should've replaced one of the nation's leading QBs with a true freshman beeeeeecuse....(cue drumroll) ...Lateef is faster than Dylan and might've escaped those big Edge rushers.
Admittedly, it was probably DR's worst performance of the season. But --- good gracious all mighty -- he threw a critical third down pass to Barney (against the wind, I might add) that turned the ballgame around near the end of the third quarter. With all due respect to Hunter, it was The Play of the second half.
It did, but you can't discount his major contribution to what was perhaps the worst quarter of offensive football in any of our lifetimes. Hell, the selfish woman who wouldn't share the door with Leo at the end of the Titanic said that she's never seen worse Nebraska offensive football.Ummm you totally missed the point. No I never said he was perfect, but that pass was the perfect remedy we needed at that point. Flipped the game right then and there.
