From someone inside the program. Yes there was very strong interest between Trev and Urban, Heck they had even made him and offer and he was set to sign it until his wife said that she's not leaving Florida. At that point he was no longer a candidate and we are now talking to Aranda.
And you are correct. They started talking to him after Urban declined after his wife said she is not leaving Florida and is done being a coaches wife.

I checked out his resume, and don’t understand the man crush. What he’s done at CCU is impressive, but I don’t think it’s more impressive than what SF did at UCF. And his resume prior to CCU isn’t loaded with power 5 experience. I bet he’d be in way over his head if he went into the B1G.

Good thing we scrubbed that nonsense in the early 2000's and went on to untold glory. We were smart enough to hire a succession of coaches that played into our ball slinging and super fast offensive themes.
We're all getting old DrF. Let's discuss aches and pains. What's bothering you today? Since I retired I have developed "Golf Elbow." Yes that's a thing. Was playing 2-3 times a week until the pain was unbearable. Down to 2-3 times a month now. Doc says a cortisone shot will help. Sucks getting old man. Weather has been really nice the last few weeks though!What the hell? Get the shot. I promise it is worth it. I fell out of a bucket truck and landed on my elbow, jamming a piece of plastic guard in between the joint. I put up with the pain for almost 2 months, until it got bad enough I could not use my right arm to lift a gallon of milk or a laundry detergent jug and pour out the liquid. I got a shot (hurts like hell when they do it) and the next day I was pain free. That was 10 years ago. Still pain free for the most part.
I had one in my shoulder several years ago. It helped but was not fun when they gave it to me. Holy Harry Husker that stung a bit. I use CBD oil now - have not needed a cortisone shot again. CBD also helps with lower back pain (degenerative discs).......that stuff keeps me going a lot better than where I was at 5 years ago.
