Mickey Joseph

I hear ya, Nebraska99. I don't want to sound crass but a key component in the decision to keep Frost and toss 4 assistants is marketing the new hires to the fan base.

Trev and all of the Powers-that-Be are crossing their fingers that the four new coaches are gonna knock our socks off and give us all a huge dose of renewed hope going into 2022.

Knowing us Husker fans, it's likely going to work. :)
I keep telling y'all I lived in MO just long enough to adopt the "Show Me" mentality. That was why I didn't jump on the bandwagon this year.

Chad Morris has all kinds of Texas recruiting ties. He was a large part of the rebuilt Clemson offense
that put them in the top tier for a long time. Great! OC, Great HS coach at a few different places.
Did well in rebuilding SMU but flopped in his short time at Arkansas, maybe he didn't have the chance
to really rebuild it.

For Frost's offense he would probably be very good. As a recruiter he would be very good. Stay on as
a long term Assistant... probably wouldn't happen. Bottom line... who cares, get 3 or 4 years and it would
be a great hire.

So many tweets I'll believe it when I see it. But I'll keep reading the tweets because they're feeding my unnecessary dopamine rush that comes with all the possibilities of being in the know while likely being ill-informed.

I think you're half right--Meyer to ND, but the bridge between Meyer and Herman has been burned

GBR

I read on ESPN earlier that Meyer has zero interest in returning to the college ranks, but then again last week I would have bet a months retirement check that Riley and Kelly would still be coaching OU and ND for years to come.

Hopefully the sports psychologist position got filled…seems to be the most needed.

We need that psychologist from "The Natural."

Attacking one.
… but infecting all.

But curable.”

See the trouble is no matter who gets the jobs available, there is always going to be a group who think we should have got "THIS GUY" or "THAT GUY" ...our fan base is as cracked and fractured as one of those old porcelain pieces of pottery you would see sitting on your Grandma's shelf of "Do not Touch" stuff...that has a million little hairline cracks in the finish.

I will be happy if we get guys who can get our offense working as good as our Defense. If we could have done that this year....just think of what could have been...we were within 7 points or less in each game (except Ohio St. They scored what 9 ) ....you realize what could have been even with our schedule this year it says a hell of a lot.

Which... should...tell...you...what? That's right!, delete your Twitter account. :)

You would get more meaningful and instrumental insight to living watching "The Bachelor, Honey Boo boo, Duck Dynasty"; ...Well, you get my meaning. Or... do you? :)

I hope the rest of the staff picks are as good as Mickey J. Micky is a proven commodity and knows how to compete, recruit and win at the highest level. When you replace a coach the best you can hope for is an upgrade from what you had. This is a major upgrade from what we had.

I'm fine with golf coaches if they do a stellar job.

Don't watch any of that crap on tv. Nebraska football internet rumors fill that reality drama in my life.

Our offense never seems in sync, as you said the guy is going to be someone Frost trusts which makes a lot of sense.

As others have pointed out, there is a time element involved here. I don't know if Scott would want to start revamping his offense from scratch, but even if he did, I don't think he has the time. A one year trial doesn't give him the time to trash eveything and start over. He's most likely going to try and fix what he has, and modify to the degree he can in one year. I would love to be a fly on the wall during his interview process. He absolutely needs to get things in order quickly, and he knows it.
