Rumors! Yesterday it was rumored that Scott Frost's representative would be meeting with Florida. Today I heard Scott said he is his own representative and would be spending this weekend with family. If that reply by Scott is true it is very good news because he did not have to say anything denying a rep to UF. So I am a crossed fingered redfan today waiting to be thankful.

Nope. I am really not worried about Frost going to Florida. I would be more worried about him staying at UCF since he has built that program so quickly. But I dont think either of them have the alure that Nebraska has for him.

Not really. I have to imagine if Moos has been this detailed that he didn't fire Riley without the next hire lined up, as others have said. Still a little nervous because nothing's final until the new coach is actually introduced.

I get the sense that something is lined up and if we don't hear anything from Frost by the end of next weekend, it may not be Frost and that's going to piss off a lot of fans.
If you are looking for another reason for SF to come to NU, look at his staff--several Nebraska guys including Ryan Held and Barrett Rudd---as the Rudd family are Husker royalty, I assume he is in SF's ear about moving north---and f he isn't "encouraging" him to move north, I would guess BR's father, brother and a couple of uncles will be beating him about the head and shoulders at the next family gathering

It appears to be public knowledge that SF and/or his agent has been in contact with Florida. Is there any evidence that he or his agents have been in contact with Nebraska? I'm beginning to think Gary Patterson is going to be our next coach I hope not.
Contact doesn't mean accepted offer. I'd take Patterson if for some reason Frost doesn't come.

I dont think they have been in contact with Florida. I think maybe Florida has asked to talk to him but according to what was being said today, he is his own representitive and he would be spending the weekend with his wife and baby. We know he has an agent and they may make a pass at him but I dont think it will matter in the long run. By watching Moos today I think Scott is all but signed and he may even be signed but they arent announcing it yet.
