From the linked article:
"Malcolm Hartzog had a rollercoaster season in 2025, clinching Nebraska’s season-opening win against Cincinnati with a late-game interception and then missing most of the rest of the season. Hartzog played just 24 snaps against Akron, then sat out the rest of the season before entering the Transfer Portal and moving to Arizona and the Big 12."
It seems to me that the author MIGHT have mentioned to his readers that Hartzog received a groin injury against Akron. He elected to to undergo season-ending surgery in October and utilize his redshirt year.
The state of journalism today is pathetic.
FYI, players who make it onto an NFL team's practice squad and last the season earn between $247,000 and $400,000. That's not too shabby.
Vincent Carroll-Jackson, a D-lineman in Coach Matt's first recruiting class, is starting for Georgia Tech tonight. 6'5" 315 lbs, could have used that kind of size this year.
Great question. He was a PA high school player so I'm sure Coach Matt had that connection. He left after one season and went to UConn. Left UConn after one season as well. Really interesting guy. He's interested in being a culinary chef and having his own restaurant.
Ironically, if he had stayed, under Coach Rhule, Kristin Coggin has developed CFB's premier sports nutrition program featuring a world-class Family Life Skills Kitchen.

WTG Maliek Collins, he's had a long NFL career.
Hate seeing the Polar Bear didn't make a practice squad.

Eric Chinander, DC at Boise State now, is putting the clamps on the vaunted Oregon Ducks right now. BSU up 14-7 closing in on halftime.
