Where are they now

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor detailed the situation on Saturday. "I don't know how to properly define it for him," Taylor said, via SI.com's Zach Pressnell. "He called us last night and let us know that he had an opportunity. I know it was a difficult decision for him. I think two things he's really passionate about were colliding, and he decided to pursue this opportunity. He's a great kid, comes from a great university, and we wish him the best. He was fun to be around. He really competed hard for us. It was fun watching him play. I thought he was ascending as a player, but obviously he's chosen to go a different path."

Adjacent to this, I am seriously contemplating buying a really good camera and begin making short films myself. I have a broadcasting degree from DONU and have a little experience (from my school days) of writing, directing, and editing so that might be something to pursue.

This begs the question why didn't you pursue that dream out of college?

I don't know, honestly. I guess I never really thought of doing that as a viable career path. I was too busy trying to pay rent and survive and doing stuff to get into the movie business didn't seem practical. But now I am at a point financially in my life where I make an above average salary (hopefully I didn't just jinx myself) I can pay all my bills and have that discretionary income where I can spend. So now seems like a time when I can afford to do the thing (make short and perhaps longer form films) and not have to worry if I am going to be able make my mortgage payment.

I always stood up for Adrian. Looks like he belongs in the NFL, at least on some level. I hated his QB coach and I never thought he deserved to be the scapegoat of our losses. His toughness, talent, and hard work appears to be paying off.

If I could agree with you to infinity on this, it still wouldn't be enough. I don't like the fact that he went to KSUcks, but I understand he had to go somewhere. I have always wondered if Adrian Martinez's leaving was him or Matt Rhule coming in and saying seek opportunity elsewhere? Oh well, that water is not only under the bridge, it has already flowed into the ocean, been evaporated, and has already fallen as rain.

You know what this tells me? The coaching those players received was terrible. I mean we all knew anecdotally Frost and his staff, especially that cigar smoking weirdo, were absolutely terrible coaches, they had no idea to to game-plan, and were terrible play-callers. Worse yet, they couldn't develop talent they had even if their lives depended on it.

He transferred before Scott’s final season

I'm sorry ramelbm, but THIS ^^^^ is a pre-Transfer portal, pre-NIL 'old school' take.

The 'writing was on the wall' for Adrian the minute Nebraska got Casey Thompson off the portal. Frost was on the hot seat and there was literally no way he could've taken Thompson and then stuck with Martinez. The fans would've gone ballistic. And as Casey showed, he was a better QB than Martinez and, as bad as last season was, he gave us much more than we would have gotten with AM2 at the helm.

K-State gave Adrian an opportunity for a fresh start. But -- like Frost -- the change didn't work out. That's life.
