Always liked that guy— IIRC, was the point man on TF 15’s recruitment

Trey had a good career here, but I can't help fantasizing about what it would have been like to have someone who could have led him properly when he got behind the coverage.

I don’t remember if I publicly criticized Trey, but the fact that he mostly sat for three years at LSU had me suspicious that he had little more than speed going for him. I also wondered if he was targeted as much as he was simply because he was the best of our lot, but not the best of LSU’s receivers. Regardless, I shouldn’t have worried, and you were right Dr., and he’s proving it in the pros.I do feel vindicated by Trey's NFL success.
Back when I was fanboying on him last season, some posters (I don't recall now who) were telling me he looked good because he was on a bad team. They said he'd be lucky be the fourth best receiver at Ohio State. While he was fast, they said he wasn't talented enough to make it in the pros.
I have never claimed to be some expert talent evaluator, but I've seen enough Husker football over the years to tell a star when I see one.
Can you imagine if Trey had had a QB who could throw 75 yard passes??!?Casey wasn’t a bad thrower, but his arm wasn’t comparable to either one of our freshmen. I don’t think we saw the best of Trey.

Sounds like an outstanding young man. Best of luck in the future Casey!
