Now Fikes hits one as Stokes runs, the 1B has to go get the ball, and nobody's covering 1st! More bad defense by USC.
Now Sanderson walks. Long meetings on the mound doing nothing for SC pitchers. Here comes a call to the bullpen.
Pitch off the glove of the catcher, all the way to the backstop, Worthley scores! Sanderson to second.
Buck dribbles it out in front of home plate, unfortunately USC does NOT screw up defensively this time, C to 1B, 2 outs, Sanderson to third.
Another base hit to left, the runner advances to third as Buck falls down. Yeesh, Horn, come on.
Ground ball right back to Horn, goes to Stokes for one, back to Sanderson, inning over! Bottom of the 5th, 7-6 Nebraska.
Stokes singles it on a hit and run, but Overbeek does slam on the brakes at 2nd, didn't quite get the ball out of the infield cleanly, caught a glove in there to slow it down, so first and second nobody out.
Fikes with a good bunt, not gonna beat it out but moves them up, P to 1B on the putout, 1 down.
