This week the Cornhuskers return home for a 3PM kick against the Turtles Terps uh... Terrapins.
The modern Maryland Terrapins football program traces its beginning to the team first formed by quarterback Will Skinner in 1892 at what was then known as the Maryland Agricultural College and the possessor of the best state flag in all of America, the 17th-century heraldic banner of arms of Cecil, 2nd Baron Baltimore. It consists of the arms of his father George, 1st Baron Baltimore (1579–1632), quartered with those of his grandmother, heiress of the Crossland family. The flag was officially adopted by the Maryland General Assembly in 1904.
Clearly theTurtles Terps dammit... Terrapins could have used some heraldic armor and a lance or two this past weekend after getting eaten alive by a
from California. I had no idea bears liked turtle. But I guess they like Salmon... so...
Anyway... the Terps battlefield was all like:
While the UCLA-ers were all like:
Now the bloodiedTurtles Terps FFS! Terrapins come to town three squires short of a sire to face a team hungry for turtle soup after their own victory at Battle of Thermopylae.
Nebraska is one of only four undefeated teams remaining in the B1G, Not sure anybody had odds on those teams being UCLA, Indiana, Iowa and Nebraska. The Cornhuskers are prohibitive favorites against the Baron of Baltimore.
