I waited around yesterday for @Bummerbry to congratulate me on winning last Saturday's 'Pick the Score' contest. When it didn't happen, I checked to see what the hell was the hold up?
I was shocked to discover I supposedly lost in a tie-breaker to...CHRIS!!!!
I'm pretty sure I'd nailed our offensive total with a prediction in the high 300s range. But looking back NOW, my post SAYS I predicted "450." Pretty damn suspicious if you ask me when our board's senior administrator just happened to have predicted 400. FWIW, I could've sworn he'd originally posted 600.
It's this kind of suspicious hanky-panky that begs the question: Shouldn't administrators be prohibited from playing in board contests??!?!?
I'm taking this to the Supreme Court!

He's still listed as Maryland's HC (as of about 2 minutes ago). All the hot gossip is that it's a matter of when, not if, he gets fired. I'd hate to have my employment history something that can be googled so easily. Don't think the money could possibly be worth it.
I agree that it's not ideal, but when you take a position like this you expect that, I think. Kind of like a movie star or music star. It's part of the package. But my recollections are from living there and following the Lobos when he was there. Sorry if it wasn't appropriate to share here. I'll remove my post.
I have a bad feeling about this game. NU is feeling very good about itself, and MU is in desperate need to play well. Husker nation is looking past the turtles, and they are still not good enough to do that. I hope this is not the 2026 version of the Minnesota game.
I'm sorry. I didn't mean that you should remove your post. I was thinking of all coaches period. I know Frost had issues with the fishbowl issues and it just kind of made me think about what that kind of public scrutiny must be like.
Please don't take anything I say as criticism directed at you or any other poster. I was just being empathetic about how sucky it must be to face so much scrutiny and glad I never had a job where I had to deal with that stuff. I always tried to fly under the radar.
Thank you, but please don't give it another thought. I was probably too tired to read into it what you meant. I'm my 23 year old, non-driving granddaughter's ride to work and she was just hired at Amazon for the 5 am - 3:30 pm shift. Even at that hour, there is traffic in the Phoenix suburb I now live in and to drive the 12 miles we leave at 4:15 a.m. I am too old for this craziness and since this job started, I'm permanently feeling like a zombie!
