I don't want to argue with Coach Leatherboots, but I'm of the opinion that ANY defensive scheme can work if you've got eleven stud players on defense.

Actually if you get one stud on the Line, one stud LB and one stud DB, that's all you need.

I think after the Iowa game we should seriously take a look at switching back to a 4-3 and then take the bowl practices and start implementing it then. Use it in the bowl game.

Convert the O to Option while we're at it.

IMO, that sounds like a recipe for disaster. Jack of all trades, master of none defense.

Great in theory, but probably not going to work in the real world.

Yeah, I was thinking that after I posted. It's too much for most players to handle. I mean Nebraska currently runs just the 3-3-5 and we still have tons of mistakes, missed assignments, etc every game. So trying to run so many defenses would be...not great.
