Super Official Huskers "How about that volleyball team!" vs Illini Game Week Thread.

I went from driving 5 hours to watch the game in person to I might just go watch a HS FB game where I used to be the AD. Wow, crap changes fast.

I also keep coming on here to see if DH has been fired yet.

A Letter In October Poem by Ted Kooser (UNL Alum a Poet Laureate)

Dawn comes later and later now,
and I, who only a month ago
could sit with coffee every morning
watching the light walk down the hill
to the edge of the pond and place
a doe there, shyly drinking,

then see the light step out upon
the water, sowing reflections
to either side—a garden
of trees that grew as if by magic—
now see no more than my face,
mirrored by darkness, pale and odd,

startled by time. While I slept,
night in its thick winter jacket
bridled the doe with a twist
of wet leaves and led her away,
then brought its black horse with harness
that creaked like a cricket, and turned

the water garden under. I woke,
and at the waiting window found
the curtains open to my open face;
beyond me, darkness. And I,
who only wished to keep looking out,
must now keep looking in.

I hate to repeat myself repeat myself, but I did write the following last week about Matt Rhule:

"have him stay in the locker room on game day."

As for Dana Holgorsen - he is an offensive genius.

How do I know that:
1. I read it on the Internet, and
2. Every time the Huskers on are television the announcers tell me.

So there!! :tongue0015:

Question for my imaginary Internet friends - does "offensive " have more than one meaning??

Nebraska Football: We almost always almost win.

Should not have been said to his kid but that seems to go along with positions like that. That's why he makes the big bucks. Keep your big boy pants on and your nose to the grindstone, Coach.
Sorry, Uenth, I strongly disagree.

I don't care what anybody makes, a grown man (likely drunk as hell) yelling "FU" to a 13 year old girl is absolutely appalling and completely out-of-bounds. My God, public discourse in our society has gotten incredibly crude and disgusting nowadays. No wonder this country's going to hell.

And now, on to a much more positive note, that was the best presser that Coach Rhule has had this year by a country mile. You couldn't ask for a better HC response to such a soul-shattering loss last Saturday night.
