Speculation on Dylan’s Future

DR was a good QB but not a great QB. He was not a feature QB who could take over a game. He was not that guy who could pull victory out of defeat.
In fairness, Dylan played as a true freshman and sophomore. If he had stayed, I'd be opining that his 'late game heroics' may come in his junior and senior years.

Maybe Dylan will grow up this year sitting on the bench and become a "Joe Montana type" next year when the game is on the line in the fourth quarter. But frankly, bailing on Nebraska when "the going got tough" is not a good sign when predicting his CFB future.

Correction he passed on Burrow for AM2. We had a chance to get Joey B and Frosted flakes said nah, I'll go with this Freshman who sat out his SR of H.S due to an injury.
I was using Northwood Husker's reality in my scenario. He said we had no shot at landing Smothers out of HS if Burrow transferred to Nebraska. It made no sense at the time but was mildly amusing. I miss Northwood.

The biggest, in hindsight, telltale sign he would bail on us the second it got a little tough was the fact that he transferred and played at 4 different high schools prior to his freshman season.

I don't follow recruiting all that closely, but I have observed that players who are frequently transferring rarely make, or turn out to be, great players. Some may end up being decent to good players, but for the most part they usually end up as bench-warming depth.

Don't lie you follow recruiting or at least you used to. You would give big breakdowns of players and recruits. ;)

Dylan the destroyer,,,,,,

Nike shares have fallen to near a 12-year low, wiping out roughly $200 billion in market value since the sportswear giant reached its pandemic-era peak in 2021.

OU may end up on the short side of NIL..

I had a laugh out loud moment on Sunday when I saw a Twitter post that said, "Dylan Raiola scrambles and runs for a TD" I clicked on it and watched a play where the Ducks' pocket collapses and DR gets sacked.

If I knew how to post Twitter stuff, I would've put it here. :)

Announcer just said DR adds a mobility factor that Moore didn't have.:Iono3:

There is a LOT to say in re: Dylan Raiola, his "mobility factor" isn't one of them. And I wonder, if they think he's mobile then I'm wondering if they've seen his Nebraska tape.

He literally just stepped up in the pocket. Moore must have had cement shoes then. I’m sure Dylan will do fine. Don’t care much either. But I will also say I think we would’ve won a couple more games last year had he not gotten hurt. He was and is much better than our backup this year.

but I’m happy we got Colandrea over Dylan.
