Speculation on Dylan’s Future

The thing that would infuriate me if I was Dan Lanning is that NEBRASKA is on our schedule!!!! Why give a future opponent locker room material??!? STFU!

It's not like a Joe Namath thing where he'll definitely be on the field to back up his big mouth--he's not even guaranteed to be the back-up QB for the Ducks this season for crying out loud!
I was thinking the same thing. Thank you DR for giving us extra motivation for possibly the toughest game on our schedule.
Didn't anyone ever tell him the backups should know your role and SHUT YOUR MOUTH? Once again his lack of situational awareness has put his team at a disadvantage. IF they beat us, and it's still an IF, it won't be because he said they have more talent than us.
Hey DR, the schedule is long and QBs have injuries. If you should find yourself in the game against us, be assured our defense will be willing to go to the legal limit to knock you out of the game.
And maybe then some.
I really want to see you on that field.

Lanning preaches emotional maturity, self-awareness and self-growth. Dylan fails on 3 out of 3. So my "Speculation on Dylan’s Future"? Playing by the pool until the money runs out then assistant coach at a middle school in Arkansas.

If that happens, rest assure our new DC will dial up the same gameplan that the B1G used last year against us.

Oregon's new OC has a whole bunch of very talented weapons on offense, especially with Dante Moore under center. But trust me, everybody associated with Husker Nation would feel considerably more optimistic going on the road against them if we knew in advance that DR was starting for them.

"What did Raiola say about Nebraska?"

Me: I don't f^^^ing care.
It's called biting the hand that fed you. He moved on so why is he bashing cornfields? Cornfields that helped pay his NIL and feed, literally, the world. Shows what an immature POS he can be when he wants to be. Truthfully, I suspect all of us do that from time to time. However, if I diss an old employer, it's not going to be pasted all over the internet and in how many sports sections. Just like they say about playing poker ... ya gotta know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. He needs to learn to fold 'em (keep his effin' pie hole shut).

I think it p*sses me off so much because my corn patch is my favorite part of my garden. How ears of corn come to be is nothing short of miraculous to me. Did you know that for EVERY kernel of corn you eat on a cob, there was a piece of cornsilk that was attached to that corn. If no pollen passes through that cornsilk, that niblet of corn does not turn into an edible corn niblet. It's just the most amazing process to me and a really stupid thing for DR to mock.

Peace, out!

Raiola's comment reinforced the stereotypical thinking about Nebraska: a university surrounded by nothing but cornfields.

That national perception is so prevalent that first-time visitors to the state are always shocked by what they find in Lincoln. If I've heard it once, I've heard it a thousand times: "Wow, we had no idea Lincoln was like this!" It's easier to sell students and parents on the place once they've been here. As Rhule has said more than a few times, the really hard part of their recruiting is convincing star players to visit in the first place. That's why national competitions like the 7on7 "Battle of the Boneyard" are so important.

I'll never forget a comment a UNL recruiter once told me. He was recruiting in a suburban Chicago high school. One student politely told him he wasn't interested in Nebraska because "he didn't want to go to such a 'rural' school." The recruiter informed the kid that he was mistaken, the University was located in a city with a population (back then) of 250,000 people. The recruiter said he then asked the kid where he was thinking about going. He answered Iowa State.
Who knew Lincoln was 'rural' and Ames, Iowa was not. :happy0188:But it emphasizes the challenges that Rhule and his recruiting staff face.

Gee, THANKS for your help, Dylan.

More talent at Oregon? Players and coaches? ouch mostly true
No cornfields in Oregon? IDK I bet there are someplace but, mostly true also.
Got hurt at Nebraska and was sacked 40 times or something like that and his uncle got fired for it. If I remember correctly Oregon was about the only team offered
Don't know if he is even healed completely from his injury to play but he's competing for the #2 position.
