Thank you, and I just read your signature! LOL! Empty Nestor now. Sometimes I miss them. Like when I need a beer.
I just read it as well and cracked me up. Having always been an empty nester, I don't get the angst some have at reaching this elite status, but that's okay.

Looking ahead -

The game stats from Bowling Green's 13-20 home loss to Tarleton State -

My wife and I decided we don’t want children. It was a tough decision, but we resolved to break the news to them tonight.
If Charlatan St was too much for Soylent Green, I see no reason why we can't chew them up and spit them out next week. One game at a time. Coach Matt just needs to make sure the team doesn't bite off more than it can chew.

AC is a gunslinger! There were plenty of balls a D1 receiver should catch. The heat and humidity may have had something to do with it. I saw more completions downfield over the middle of over15 yards in one game than I saw the last 2 years. (Obligatory DR putdown) He puts the ball out there with some zip on it.

A little too much zip at times IMO.

It wasn't pretty but it was a W. Covered the points. Won the rushing game. Won the passing game. Defense needs some work. Way too many dropped passes. Way too many penalties. But I'll take the win.

^^^^My take, too. Said it better than I could have, tho'. I chalk up the drops/flags to first-game-itis

I thought that 9 yarder for a TD to Gilmer at the end had a little taken off. I have chosen to believe the heat/humidity had something to do with the excess dropped balls. These guys have been getting AC's bullets all camp. They know what to expect.
