What I find intriguing is the number of high profile QBs interested in Nebraska since the hiring of Whipple. He has a great reputation.

Oh dear God....were hearing alot of "STUFF" about Rattler now from current players and Coaches.....some are saying it's not a joke and is very VERY CLOSE to a done deal.....

Now several "insider's" (who ever that is) are reporting that Spencer Rattler already is or is going to be, "N" and some big name Husker Sports Guys are reporting it also we are told ?
It's Snowing like mad up here in the Mountains so our DSL is spotty and we can't fact check any of this.....but the damned phone just keeps on ringing.....

Rattler has a high talent level but he also is a prima donna. It was pretty clear OU's offense wanted to have someone else play QB. Hopefully Whipple (who would be his QB coach) has a clear idea of what he is getting himself into.....and a Plan B.
Brennan is a pro-style QB. If they sign him it looks to be a passing of the baton from Frost to Whipple.

Ditto that! Saw a video of Rattler treating his teammates in high school like dog crap. Rattler, oh Lord I hope not. I was so not impressed...even moreso watching his inexperienced come in and elevate the teams performance. I’d take any of our current QBs over him...we don’t need him.
How soon we forget. Tommy Frazier was never “liked” by the majority of his teammates. He was the QB for 3.5 years, the star of the offense, and he was never elected as a captain by his teammates. His talent may have been respected, but he was not a great teammate. Do you think it was a mistake to keep him?
I don't mean to be a contrarian but in reference to that high school film I took it more as two hs kids trash talking. It's been taken too seriously.

One more point. We have a chance to have a leading Heismann contender. Now we're particular? Dang well worth the risk. We can always have a good time running him out of town on a rail if things turn.

Did Frazier act like that? I saw Frazier as demanding, and I am sure he was an a-hole...which we could probably use a little of that. But, did he always blame others and put others down? Frazier was a competitor and didn’t back down. Rattler says he is a competitor, but when it gets tough, he quits competing and transfers. That’s not a real leader. That video is very revealing of character--I wouldn’t want to be on his team...that kind of crap is divisive. Could he have changed? Yes, but my experience is that type doesn’t...his lack of enthusiasm at his team’s success is further indicative.

There is a lot to that, namely that Rattler was getting piss-pounded by a mediocre Texas team, giving away turnovers like Sara Lee, and got benched. Nebraska's margin for error is slim-to-none and this kid looks more like Sam Keller than Russell Wilson.
Yeah, but how many were spouting off about competing like ole Rattler? And how many acted like him? Seriously, would you want to play with him? The only way I would is if he had a real come to Jesus moment and changed his character...and for those I have to see to believe.

That should UP Nebraska's chances of getting him. It's well known we don't bench our QBs for turnovers.
