I don't think anybody here took offense to Doc's anger--certainly not me. Hell, I've tapped out a few heated posts in my day. The issue is what the hell was he so angry about? Somebody calls me 'Doc' and THAT causes a "There Can Be Only One" hissy fit?
I told all the folks here from the very beginning that I was cool with being called "Fumble" or "Fumbler" or "DrF." But on the other hand, longtime BHFers here need to understand and appreciate that I have a lot of long-time board buddies who have been calling me Doc since 2004 so it shouldn't come as any surprise that someone occasionally calls me by that name.
For what it's worth I volunteered to the Admin. yesterday to shorten my screen name to Fumblerooski if that would smooth things over. If I somehow prompted Doc Holiday's anger because he interpreted my "I'd change it to Crazyhole but it was taken" post to this thread as some kind of 'screw you' response rather than the joke that it was intended to be, I apologize.

Sounds to me that someone needs to suck it up, put their ego in the closet and get back to real life.
What twisted my panties was the attitude of doing us mere mortals a favor by telling us how it was during TO's days. Also demanding that Doc F change his moniker. Give me a break!
What we should all be doing is enjoying the rest of the season and being happy that Scott Frost is our new HC.
I wondered if his panties got twisted because of our frivolity the last week. Whatever.

Miss Scarlet and I rode together as part of the 'Wild Bill' Callahan Gang for a few years in the early Oughts. But when things turned bad in 2007 and Marshall Tom rode into town to save the day, I bailed on Bill and ended up joining the Pelini Brothers Gang.
Scarlet was NOT a Bo fan (that's putting it mildly) and gave me and others a whole bunch of insider reasons going back to 2003 why hitchin' our wagon to Bo Pelini was a very bad idea. Looking back now, it kind of irks me that Scarlet had Pelini pegged all along.
Anyhoo, Scarlet pulled one of those melodramatic, "if you all are a-gonna support Bo Pelini, I'm outta here" deals. And she did.
I been around long enough to know some people post on message boards because they love a particular coach, others post because they love stirring the pot, still others post because they love themselves, and everybody else posts because they're diehard Husker fans.
I like ridin' with them diehards.
